Yall think I’m ready?

Tonight’s weather was perfect, body was on lock, and my head was exactly where it needed to be. That type of run where everything felt on point. Went in without overthinking it and ended up holding 7:54/mi for 13.2 miles, with 466 ft of gain and a 1:44:26 moving time. Spent most of the run sitting in tempo and somehow walked away with PRs in the 10K, 15K, 10-mile, 20K AND half marathon 😭 Crazy part is my average run lately has been nowhere near this distance! The legs kept answering every time I asked for more. Just a random night, a clear head, and 13 miles of putting in work. Fitness is starting to show🫡 Might fuck around and sing up for my first race🤷🏻‍♂️

Neptune’s Crown 👑🌊 08/07/26

Pulled up to Encinitas for @currentlyrunningapparel 2-mile unsanctioned road race celebrating their eyewear release with @ride100percent

No bibs. No huge production. Just a bunch of locals meeting up by the coast, warming up together, lining up, and letting it rip down Neptune.

Post-run fuel was just as good. Empanadas from @destino_empanadas and ice cream from @scoopyscoopyy hit exactly right after the effort.

I obviously wasn’t there chasing the crown but getting to meet @nash.howe founder of Currently and connect with some good people made the night that much better.

Appreciate @currentlyrunningapparel for putting something like this together for the locals. 🤝🏽

Welcome to my beginning. Again.

This is where I’ve been.

Somewhere between the climbs, the silence, and the miles, I started finding pieces of myself I didn’t even realize I’d lost. Along the way, I stopped running just to get in shape. I started running to reconnect with myself.

I never expected dirt paths and mountain views to change my life, but they did. Every run pulled me a little farther away from who I used to be and a little closer to the person I wanted to become.

The trails gave me something I didn’t know I was missing. They taught me to slow down, to appreciate the quiet, to fall in love with nature again, and to realize that sometimes getting lost outside is exactly how you find your way back to yourself.

The older I get, the less I’m chasing speed and the more I’m chasing moments like these. Miles that humble me. Views that make me stop. Trails that remind me life doesn’t always need to move so fast.

Took the new @nordarun 055 out to one of my favorite backyard San Diego trails and was the best way to start a new chapter. These trail shoes were built for technical terrain, and every climb reminded me why I keep coming back to mountain running.
