If you’re new here, hi 👋 I’m Liz, the founder of Replenish Refills. I built this store because I believe choosing reusable and refillable shouldn’t be hard. Swipe to learn a little more about why I started this, and come visit us in Asbury Park! We’re inside the Shoppes at the Arcade — 658 Cookman Ave, Suite 7. See you soon 🌿 by @replenishrefills_nj
Our next stop is @replenishrefills_nj in Asbury Park, NJ! This incredible refill shop is brand new to the area, and it’s already becoming a staple in the community! Shopping as cleanly and sustainably as possible is something that is so important to me, and I have been in the process over the last two years of really trying to make almost every product I use clean and nontoxic. I feel like this has improved my chronic health symptoms so much, knowing that harsh toxins are being soaked up so much less because of simple switches! The shop itself is also absolutely beautiful with different sections of food, skin care, kitchen tools, cleaning supplies, and so much more! You can bring your own jars / jugs from home or she has a collection of donated ones to choose from to fill as many as you want! The owner is an absolute sweetheart, and has made it her mission to bring clean and sustainable goods to the community to help every person that walks through her doors, leave a little healthier than when they came in! She’s located inside @theshoppesatthearcade on the upper level! This building is so unique with tons of different small businesses under one roof and is rich with history in the center of town! There are so many places to explore in Asbury, and is absolutely one of my all-time favorite towns in our state! If you’re someone who is looking to focus on their health more, is trying to buy more sustainably, or just want to check out a brand new shop in this incredible town, let this be another place to put on your summer itinerary! 💌 by @replenishrefills_nj
I’m finally ready to share that Replenish Refills is getting a new home! 👀 And I don’t want to sound all woo woo, but this space really did find us. We weren’t looking to move, but sometimes the universe nudges you in the right direction. First, a landlord who wanted a refill shop in Avon. Then, a block full of neighbors who create amazing synergy: @oftheearth_apothecary, @seedtosprout, and the new @botanica_by_oftheearth. And then a friend (@geppfixedllc) offered to help with the build-out. I couldn’t say no to the chance to make something so special. That means we’ll be saying goodbye to our Asbury Park shop when our lease is up in January. It will always be my first store, and I’m so grateful to everyone who refilled, restocked, and cheered us on there. The new space will let us do more refills, more zero-waste swaps, and more community. As you can see, there’s a lot of work to do, and we’ll keep you posted on every step. Until then, keep refilling with us in Asbury! 💚 by @replenishrefills_nj
Hard sustainability truths, Halloween edition 🎃 The spookiest thing about Halloween might just be all the waste we generate. 👀 Let’s all try and do our part to keep costumes, pumpkins, and candy wrappers out of the landfill this year with these easy fixes: 🎃 Swap, thrift, and reuse costumes at places like @cottontailsconsignment, @depop and @poshmark 🎃 Compost pumpkins at home or through local pumpkin smashing events like the one @kulafarm 🎃 Recycle candy wrappers through specialty programs like @terracycle and @getridwell No perfect Halloween required, just a slightly better one 🖤 #sustainablehalloween #lowwaste #terracycle #asburyparknj #refillerytips by @replenishrefills_nj
Here are 5 greenwashing tricks we’re not falling for this fall. 🍂🍁Bottom line: if it feels performative or deceptive, it probably is. Luckily, as a refill shop owner, I’ve done the work for you. All the products I carry are heavily vetted and researched so you can shop confidently. 💚 What greenwashing tricks have you seen brands trying to pull lately? Drop them below 👇 👀 #greenwashing #lowwasteliving #sustainablebrands by @replenishrefills_nj
We’re donating a $100 gift card to the Sister for a Cure Rock Concert auction this weekend! 🎸💗 The third annual @sistersconcert is October 10th at the Stone Pony, featuring dozens of local female artists and raising money for the @susangkomen Breast Cancer Foundation. Never toss a fancy glass yogurt cup again. Buy one of these cute bamboo lids instead. The storage possibilities become endless! 💚 by @replenishrefills_nj
It’s really not that hard. Me pleased:🫙 There’s something very *pleasing* about filling a few pantry staples here in the shop rather than at the chain grocery store. When I shop here, I know I’m avoiding toxic chemicals, excess packaging, and overconsumption. What’s more pleasing than that? by @replenishrefills_nj
@asburyfresh summer season flew by! It was a tough goodbye since the nor’eastern canceled our last market, but I’m SO grateful I got to spend this season with the incredible market managers and vendors. If youre already missing your local favorites (🙋‍♀️) this PSA is for you. We’re stocked up on @24karrotspread, @auhoney, and @asburyparkseasalt and our storefront is around the block from where the market was setup. Come check out our food selection and pick up your local favorites this week! 🍯🥕🌊 by @replenishrefills_nj
A few announcements for this week: - Monday we’ll be closing at 3pm so we can attend the 5th Annual @teamobrienorg Golf Outing in support of rare cancer research which is drastically underfunded. My cousin Brennan battled adrenocortic cancer in 2015 and lost his life 8 months after his diagnosis at 30 years old. This event directly supports those on the front lines fighting rare cancers to promote better patient outcomes. - Wednesday we’ll be closed so we can attend the @njitgreen annual sustainability fair. Come shop, chat about internship opportunities for students, and win prizes. We are so honored to be involved! I put together this basket to be a part of the annual fundraiser as a raffle prize. All donations directly benefit the Adrenal Neoplasia program within the Rogel Cancer Center steered by Dr. Gary Hammer, who my cousin believed deeply in. The goal is to advance rare cancer research and improve patient outcomes. More info can be found here: teamobrien.org If you’re attending a fundraiser for a cause you care about and want to donate a raffle/auction basket, I’ll happily build one for you. Just tell me how much you want to spend and we’ll build a basket for your budget. 🧡 We will also be closed Wednesday so we can attend the annual Sustainabiliy Fair at @njit. We were invited to attend by their Office of Sustainability after we crossed paths at CRAN Jam hosted by @climaterevolutionnj. We love any event where we can chat about sustainability and we’re excited to meet the next generation of people thinking hard about it too. If you’re an NJIT student, come find us at our table. We’d love to chat! by @replenishrefills_nj
Why does every greeting card come in crinkly shrink wrap? Ours don’t. 🧡 Handmade by local artist @goldfinchandwillow. If you’re shopping for a gift, grab one at the register today! #nomoreuselessplastic #lowwasteliving by @replenishrefills_nj
