D A Y S W I T H O U T E N D

Days Without End (200x200cm) is a visual interpretation of the repetitive, almost hypnotic, quality of the song “Days Without End” by Lol Hammond and Duncan Forbes. The 2019 track, with its simple piano chord and accompanying strings, became a soundtrack for a period of intense focus and artistic flow. Listening to the song on repeat, I entered a meditative state, driven to create line after line, building a world of color and texture. The painting’s palette of intense blues and deep blacks reflects the mood and emotional intensity of this process.

O N E L O V E
Every new painting of mine begins with the search for the right piece of inspiring music. With so much great music out there, finding the exact song for the moment of creation can be a challenge. But this time, it came easily.

The newly released track ‘One Love’ by Lyves and Marsh immediately gave me the vibe I needed to create a painting full of emotion and positivity. It’s an extraordinary track—it sounds like a ballad, but the underlying drum and bass beat gives it a rhythm and energy that drove me forward, layer by layer, on the linen canvas.

For this piece, I chose greens and blues—to me, the truest colors of hope and love.

Thank you, Lyves, for your incredible voice and for providing me with inspiration for the second time (the first being ‘Rest Your Head’ a while back).

Thrilled to see my piece, Sunlight, finding its home in the beautiful showroom of @culimaat.

There is a natural synergy between art and design, and seeing my work surrounded by Culimaat’s impeccably crafted, high-end kitchens is truly inspiring. Thank you for the invitation to be a part of such a well-curated space and for celebrating the beautiful conversation between art and interior design.

A B O U T T H E P A I N T I N G
Floating on a sea of sound -Sunlight by Jelena Ciric and Snorri Hallgrímsson- I dived into layer after layer, searching for a depth I could translate into paint. With the track on an endless loop, I created a large-scale work (295 × 155 cm) built from green-toned layers. Finished with 24K gold elements, the painting came alive.

Before you even step into the suite, your private entrance hall sets the tone.
Flanking the door on both the left and right, two of my “babies”-smaller, intimate paintings- greet you as you arrive and bid you farewell as you head out.

It’s all in the details. At the unique 5-star Palais Coburg in Vienna, we strive to make every moment, even the transition into your room, feel warm, personal, and inviting. It is truly an honor to be a part of the experience at such a special property.

A view from the top.

On the top floor of Palais Coburg, there is a suite that feels like a private sanctuary - a luxury penthouse complete with its own rooftop terrace.
As you step inside, you are greeted on the right by my painting, „Spinning Heart.“
It’s a fitting title, because that is exactly what your heart will do the moment you see it.
There is an immediate, magnetic connection with this space.

„Spinning Heart“ acts as an invitation-once you step into this suite, you may find yourself never wanting to leave.

Op zoek naar mooie toevoegingen voor in jullie interieurs waren wij vanochtend op visite bij kunstenaar Rep Ringel. Soms kom je iemand tegen met wie je gelijk een klik hebt. Bij Rep is dat zo. Al maanden slingerde het visitekaartje van Rep door ons pand. Te mooi om weg te gooien. Bovendien viel zijn naam een aantal keer in het afgelopen halfjaar. A new home for ‘4Bit’

In this expansive royal suite at the Palais Coburg, my painting ‘4Bit’ has found its place.

These photos were captured during the installation phase - while the room isn’t fully styled yet, I think they offer a wonderful glimpse into the atmosphere we are creating.
I love how this piece brings an added layer of warmth, depth, and calmness to the space, helping to ground the grandeur of this royal suite.

It is such an honor to contribute even a small part to the story of this magnificent building in Vienna.

Watching ‘Trees’ come alive

I am thrilled to see ‘Trees’ installed in this beautiful suite at Palais Coburg.
This piece was designed to interact with its environment, featuring delicate touches of 24K gold leaf that catch the light whenever the sun hits the canvas.

Throughout the day, as the light shifts, so does the painting.
The vertical lines and deep textures invite moving shadows to play across the surface, while the gold reflects the changing daylight to create something truly dynamic.
It’s wonderful to see it become such a captivating focal point on this wall.

A warm welcome home.

Beyond the grand suites, we’ve placed carefully selected paintings throughout the rooms of the Palais Coburg.
This little “baby”- my personal term for this piece -is placed right in the entrance hall.
The goal was simple: to offer every guest an immediate, welcoming connection the moment they step into their suite.
It’s an honor to have my work be the first thing guests see when they arrive in this historic Vienna landmark.

Last week we visited Palais Coburg, the prestigious 5-star hotel in the heart of Vienna.
Their magnificent suites, located in this historic building, have been under construction for 1.5 years and are now almost ready for the grand reopening.

I feel incredibly honored to have been one of the lucky few to contribute a small part to this unique newly renovated luxury hotel, with my art featured on many of their walls.
I still can’t quite believe it happened…

This first post is just a preview of one of the suites that is not yet finished, but already gives a beautiful impression of what’s to come.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Palais Coburg team for welcoming us and treating us like special guests—you’re truly the best!
And a special thanks to Olga for all the fantastic work you’ve done.

About this painting:
The title of this painting is “Once Again.” It’s taken from the album Bloodworks by the band Phoria.
About eight years ago, when I had just started painting, I made a work inspired by this song.
I was looking for a new challenge and thought it would be right to do this “Once Again”… once again.

Same music, a different painting—same energy. Still in love with this track.
