A couple weeks ago, several groups of associates across our Louisville market participated in the PickleY'all Louisville Pickleball Festival, including the "The Moving Forest", a volunteer-driven performance art piece where volunteers marched 70 trees through the streets of downtown hosted by Greenprint. The Greenprint initiative aims to integrate "health-focused greening strategies into downtown Louisville's growth & redevelopment". The following week, the trees were planted at various sites across the city.

Associates also volunteered at a table during the pickleball tournament over the weekend with fun prizes and games to ensure the fun continued outside the tournament excitement! We were also honored that Steve Trager, our Executive Chair, was invited to participate in the ribbon cutting celebrating PickleY'all's inaugural year. by @republicbank

Waiting for the last minute to put together a costume is basically an extreme sport for us at this point. 👻 🎃

But seriously... if someone contacts you asking for personal financial information or login details, don't respond. Legitimate businesses won't ask that. If you're contacted about an unexpected "missed payment", don't respond or click on any links. If you're ever suspicious about an email, text, or call, don't respond & reach out to the business using a verified phone number. And remember, Republic Bank will NEVER reach out to you asking for your banking information. Learn more about what to look out for at the link in our bio. by @republicbank

A couple weeks ago, some members of our Emerge BRG, the business resource group for young professionals, met with Down Syndrome of Louisville to lead a financial literacy course. This course, part of their Living & Learning series, provided them with an even more solid foundation on their financial journey & stepping stones to help them continue growing.

We are thriving this spooky season & well on our way to celebrating with costumes, fun, & plenty of candy! 🎃🍬

Earlier this month, a few Louisville associates & their families volunteered to pass out candy along the trail for the Creasy Mahan Haunted Hike. Casey Lawrence, an associate who attended with her family, said, "It was so much fun to volunteer at this years 20th anniversary of the Creasy Mahan Haunted Hike and to see all of the smiling faces and amazing costumes! It is wonderful to be apart of an event that has been serving the community for 20 years!"

Recently, several of our associates once again spent time with the members of Cedar Lake's independent living apartment buildings in Louisville. While there, Cedar Lake presented our associates with a certificate recognizing their ongoing support & furtherance of their mission.

Jennifer Glassner, an associate who works with Cedar Lake frequently, said, "By spending time with the members at Cedar Lake, playing games, sharing laughter, eating, and engaging in conversation, we brought joy to their day while providing meaningful social interaction and connection. These moments may seem small but make a tremendous difference in someone's daily life. As a mother of a daughter with special needs, this mission is especially close to my heart, and I deeply care and appreciate the impact Cedar Lake makes in the lives of the individuals it serves."

We had a roaring good time at the zoo for our annual company picnic, recently! The energy was buzzing, there was plenty of monkeying around, and the food was paw-some. We are so grateful for the team that made this event flamin-go so smoothly, and we are otterly thankful for every member of Republic Bank that, as Steve said, "help create our success!"

If you joined us, let us know what your favorite paw-t of the event was in the comments! by @republicbank

By striving to make a difference in structural engineering, Cornerstone continues to make an impact in the community, not just in the work they do but in the people they employ, invest in, & work with.

Cornerstone Engineering was listed as one of Louisville Business First's fastest growing businesses, so we stopped by to chat with VP of Operations John Daniel about how they got their start, how they've grown, and where they're headed from here! We're so grateful to have been a part of the team that has helped them thrive and expand.
