This is everything a brand needs, and the sooner you get these right, the better it is for your brand. Most founders think a brand only needs one logo, well that’s correct, but a brand actually needs 4 variations of that one logo, not just that logo. Similarly, a brand needs multiple secondary and accent colors, not just one primary color. Your brand doesn’t need one ad format, it needs multiple, similar to brand photos, which your brand needs multiple of aswell. Just sell the right thing to the right customer. Don’t look at a customer as just “a customer”, also note if they’re a man or a woman, are they a child, are they an investor, the more you know about your customers, the better you can sell something to them. A product appeals to people’s problems. They think “this is going to solve my problem”, but most businesses make products focused around vague benefits that no type of customer can understand. These brands chose fonts that complimented the feeling they wanted to convey through their brand. The Instagram logo with it’s font looks and feels much better than it would with a more serious font, because Instagram is not a serious brand. Same with the Subway logo, Netflix logo and Adidas logo’s fonts. Some of these brands even just used the font as their logo. Netflix just wrote “Netflix” in a font that “feels good” and made it their logo, just like many other brands do, and you can too.
