When the conversation turns to staging costs and sales results, it helps to have data to share.

The new RESA® Q1 & Q2 2026 Market Insights report explores professionally staged U.S. homes sold during the first half of the year, with results reported through our Sold Over List Price Club and Days on Market Club.

Inside: sale-price results, time on market, staging investment by price range and state, and three takeaways for your next listing presentation.

Bring it to your next client conversation.

Share it with a real estate partner.

And if you haven’t started tracking your own property results, use it as a starting point.

When a seller asks about staging, being able to explain the why, the process, and the investment makes for a more informed conversation.

Fifteen agents in Oakville now have more knowledge to bring to those discussions after completing Staging to Sell, What Every Agent Should Know® and earning their RESA® Certified Staging Advocate™ (RESA-CSA™) designation.

Led by RESA® Approved Instructor Louay Nouneh of MES Décors Inc. at OMDREB, the class explored how buyers respond to a home’s presentation, how staging data can inform seller decisions, and what to look for when working with a professional stager.

That means more to talk through at the next listing appointment: what staging can help accomplish, how it fits into the marketing plan, and how to help sellers make informed choices about preparing their home.

Congratulations to all 15 agents for investing in the knowledge they bring to their clients!

You want to be the stager they call again. I get it.

But when keeping a client means constantly adjusting your price, your schedule, or your policies, it’s worth asking what that relationship is costing you.

@redbarrinuevo Home talked with me on The Staging Insider podcast about learning that clients could respect his boundaries and still want to work with him.

Was setting boundaries hard for you at first, or did that part come naturally? taken in Toronto, Canada by @resahq

There’s a lot you learn AFTER you call yourself a business owner.

Red Barrinuevo thought his passion and creativity would carry him through. Looking back, his advice to other stagers is simple: learn, listen, and get familiar with your numbers.

You don’t have to know everything on day one. But making time to understand your business is part of taking care of it.

A moment from Red’s conversation with Felicia Pulley on The Staging Insider™ airing tomorrow for RESA members and Friday for anyone without a membership.

What do clients ask for your help with before the furniture ever arrives?

Paint selections. Finding the right vendors. Figuring out what needs attention before listing and getting it all scheduled.

Those requests could point to a paid service that uses skills you already bring to the table.

In this clip from her RESACON Encore session, Michelle Lynne explains the value of taking that coordination off a client’s plate: you’re giving them time back, fewer decisions to manage, and a clearer path to getting their home market ready.

Stagers, what do you already help clients with that you haven’t turned into a paid service yet? Or, if you have, what’s been worth adding? Let’s talk in the comments.

The bedroom has all the essentials, but it still feels a little cold. What’s the FIRST thing you’d change?

Be honest, are you capable of walking past a thrift store without going in?

Last year when I chatted with Anita Lakhani of ZAL House Interiors we bonded over something a few of you can probably relate to: looking for that one good find.

For Anita, that might be a chunky book or a brass or wooden accessory.

Two wholesale vendors. Similar furniture. Similar prices.

Who gets your next order?

What tips the decision for your staging business?

Reliable stock? Lower freight? Easier ordering? Flexible minimums? A person you can reach when you need help?

Think about the factor that matters most to you and tell us why.

First impressions matter. Be the Yesssss, not the no no no, on your next listing.

Marin County shoppers expect a special home, and that decision is often made through an emotional connection.

Staging creates that jump from judging the house to actually imagining yourself living there.

Maybe the floor plan is a little unusual. Instead of leaving buyers wondering what the heck to do with the space, staging can show them that the layout is actually intentional. You can take in the view, watch TV, and still be part of the conversation when friends come over for cocktails and appetizers.

That’s what good staging does. It answers the questions before they become doubts.

Because when buyers leave thinking, “I could actually live here,” instead of texting their designer friend photos asking, “What would you even do with this room?” you’ve given the house a much better chance of staying in their heads long after they’ve walked out the door. by @resahq
