20 phenomenal dogs from Los Angeles are on their way to Canada!!!! What a day!! Tears were shed but our hearts are full because what awaits them is worth all of our sadness! We cannot thank everyone who helped make this happen-fosters, volunteers, transporters, and especially our fairy dog mother @andy.corrigan 🩷
It takes a village and this (international) village is truly phenomenal.

Midnight 1yo puppy 52lbs.
Arrived 4/3/26 and is cleared for euthanasia. She also has an upper respiratory infection.

PLAYGROUP ASSESSMENT:
“Midnight/F A5767083 (INTACT) : She had soft eyes and a neutral tail wag as the runner easily clasped the collar around her neck. She remained loose while greeting several dogs through the play yard fence. Once in the yard, she became timid, slowly exploring while keeping to herself. She tolerated a large, male shepherd coming up to greet her obnoxiously. She noticed a handler and walked over to him and sat on his feet while watching the dogs. She had a light tremble as she sat on his foot. She continuously solicited affection from him and did not leave his side for several minutes. She was tolerant of calm dogs coming up to greet her but was wary of them lingering near her muzzle. She would move behind the handler whenever approached by any playful dogs. As time passed, she began to relax. She explored the yard, interacting with other calm dogs. She then spent a few moments in the pool, cooling off. She continued relaxing and became playful with a female shepherd. She play bowed and pin wheeled before spending a few moments chasing around the yard. She displayed a gentle/dainty play style and was not physical with the shepherd. She needs time to gain confidence with new dogs and new surroundings, eventually becoming social and playful. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, LARGE DOGS OK, MEDIUM ENERGY”

Just two of our alumni, Sunshine and Scallop, living their absolute best lives in Montreal with their forever families! Our partnership with @rescuealldogsco has made such a big impact for so many dogs in LA who, by no fault of theirs and because we are just so overcrowded, found it harder to get adopted here. POV : ça fait 100 jours que t'as quitté le refuge, et que ta vie a basculée 🐾

Il y a 100 jours, t'avais peur de tout, chaque bruit, chaque geste un peu brusque, chaque nuit passée à surveiller au lieu de dormir.

Aujourd'hui tu dors sur le dos, pattes en l'air, zéro vigilance, juste du pur abandon, parce que tu sais enfin que t'es en sécurité.

Y'a 100 jours, t'étais un numéro dans une cage, aujourd'hui t'es celui qu'on attend chaque matin, celui qui a sa place dans le camion, dans les pieds de maman, dans le cœur de toute une famille.

Tu pleures presque de joie chaque fois que la porte s'ouvre, pas parce que t'as peur qu'on parte, mais parce que tu sais qu'on revient toujours.

Tu cours après ta balle avec la conviction d'un sportif et même si tu la rates à chaque fois, on t'aime encore plus pour ça.

100 jours plus tard, la peur a laissé place à la confiance, la solitude a laissé place à une famille entière, et toi, tu es devenu la preuve vivante que tout peut changer 🐾

Almost 5 years old. Never adopted. Never had a home to call her own.

Sister has been waiting since she was just 6 months old.

Sister spent over 3 years in a shelter in Jamaica, until Hurricane Melissa destroyed it in 2025. She was saved and brought to Canada in November, promised she would find a family for once and for all, only to tear her cruciate ligament a week after arriving.

Sister joined the RAD fam in December, had major surgery in January, went through rehab and by spring she was finally healed.

But her family never came.

In the 9 months that she’s been with RAD, she’s had a total of 3 adoption applications. None worked out. She’s still waiting.

Sister needs a calm home and patient people who understand that after spending her entire life in shelters, adjusting may take time. She can be fearful of new people, especially men, but once she knows you, she’s affectionate, goofy and a really great dog.

We URGENTLY need a space for Sister. A family wanting to adopt her would be perfect - but a foster home would do.

Some days the noise doesn’t stop. By late afternoon everything has been stacking up, sounds, screens, conversations, decisions, and my brain is running way too hot. That’s what ADHD looks like for me most days. Not the cliché of being distracted, more like a system with no volume control by the end of the day.

I have my own ways of managing it. Noise cancelling headphones are one. But the thing that works best isn’t a tool at all.

She shows up on her own. No training for this, no command. She just leans in and stays there until it passes. Something about the weight of her against me pulls the whole thing back down. It regulates me faster than anything else I’ve tried.

People don’t always get how much a dog can hold someone up. For me it’s not a detail, it’s part of how I stay okay day to day.

Our sweet boy Fatman from L.A. got his cherry eye surgery, we may need to do another one because both eyes were so bad. He’s the sweetest boy and still available for adoption! Everyone falls in love with this boy when they meet him. Lets find this boy his forever home! 💛🙏🐾

🍑 Peaches’ happy ending! 🍑❤️

Peaches was one of the 21 dogs @rescuealldogsco brought to Montreal from Los Angeles in May, and today we get to share one of our favourite updates…

Peaches has been ADOPTED and is living her best life! 🥹❤️

Three months into her new life, her adopter sent us this beautiful update:

“Bonjour à tous!

Voici des nouvelles de la belle Peaches. Cela fait 3 mois qu’elle fait maintenant partie de notre famille et elle est tout simplement merveilleuse ❤️.

Elle comprend comment s’asseoir pour obtenir une récompense, elle est beaucoup plus calme, jappe encore lorsque quelqu’un cogne ou sonne à la porte mais elle s’améliore. Peaches fait encore de l’anxiété de séparation mais elle m’attend sagement dans son coussin près de la porte.

Elle adore prendre des marches, est super affectueuse et nous donne plein de bisous. 🥰

Nous sommes très heureux et très chanceux de l’avoir rencontrée et adoptée ❤️. Merci RAD 🫶🏻”

From being one of 21 dogs making the journey from LA to Montreal, to now having a family of her own, a cozy bed, walks, cuddles and a whole lot of love… Peaches has truly found her people. 🥹🐾

You guys may remember Jake, aka Mr. Potato who we took into our care this January!

When Jake was seized from a suspected puppy mill he weighed 100 pound, had horrible arthritis and covered in wounds. After his seizure, another group started his rehab and when we took charge of him he was just over 60 pounds. We are happy to report he has lost another 20 pounds!

As the weight was coming off we were noticing masses on him. We removed two tumors, one on his nipple and one on his toe. We had to amputate the toe but thankfully he doesn’t have cancer.

We are now waiting for him to be seen by the cardiologist as we suspect something may be going on with his heart.

He’s such a gem of a dog and is thriving with his wonderful foster. If you would like or can help us with his medical, please donate below. No amount is too small! Thank you all 💛🙏🐾

As many of you know, I have personally contributed to various causes that are important to me, and I would like to continue doing so through my company as well.

In honour of my rescue dog Chief’s birthday and International Dog Month coming up, a portion of all soccer school registrations from June to August 2026 will go toward supporting local dog rescue organizations.

This initiative is something very personal and meaningful to me. I have a rescue dog named Chief, and although the last year has brought some personal challenges, Chief has always been there supporting me, pushing me forward, and inspiring me to grow. So in many ways, he rescued me just as much as I rescued him.

Dogs bring loyalty, comfort, and unconditional love into people’s lives, and I wanted to use my platform to give back to animals in need within our community.

This is also the first of several community and social initiatives important to me that SC Azzurri hopes to support in the future, including causes related to children with disabilities and mental health.
