😭It’s been 1 1/2 years since I got the “I need that dog” well let’s be honest @theshoulderlinebacker messages often but the boss @jess_colasanti and I know when it’s a serious matter. Well with the best help of @clintmooreanimalhospital medically getting her ready and with the knowhow that LUCY was their next… I made my way up to surprise some of my favorite little kids. *Adopted!!*

Burger is searching for his forever home! This Bimini Boy is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's doing great in his SoFL foster home, including with the cats! He also spent a few days in another home and became good buds with their dog (who happens to be his uncle!).
It's now time to find Burger his forever!

UPDATE: Progress! We have a foster commitment in FL which means we can get Joy to safety tomorrow. Stay tuned for more pics and her rescue story!

URGENT foster/forever home need, in South Florida at least to start. "Joy" needs a place to go by Tuesday (22 Sept) or Wednesday (23rd) she'll go to a shelter in Nassau. The Nassau shelters are already full; Bimini does not want to add to their burden. And Joy deserves more than a shelter. Joy is
--Female (spayed)
--Long-ish haired potcake
--DOB 25 Dec 2025
--UTD on vaccines
--Microchipped
--Experience in crate
--Often tied in yard with cats about (they ignore each other)
--No leash walking experience
--An energetic girl, just as you'd expect for her age

It’s been 3 months, and I still can’t believe no one has come for this sweet boy. 💔

The longer Luxy stays with us, the more his little personality shines—and it’s impossible not to fall in love with him.

He sleeps with his tiny tongue sticking out, and it’s the cutest thing ever. 🥹

When it’s time to go potty or after bath time, he doesn’t walk…he does these adorable little bunny hops like an excited baby. It makes us laugh every single time.

The funny thing is, Luxy is so quiet that you almost forget he’s there. He rarely barks. In fact, he’ll only bark if he needs to go outside, his water bowl is empty, or he’s reminding you that it’s mealtime. That’s it. 💁🏼‍♀️

One thing we’ve learned is that this sweet senior has so much pride. He absolutely refuses to poop in the house. If he has to go, he’ll let you know…and he’ll keep letting you know until someone takes him outside. He just wants to be a good boy.

At around 10 years old, Luxy is about 80% deaf & sees a little blurry, but don’t let that fool you. He’s incredibly attentive and follows his people everywhere. He loves slow walks, golf cart rides, naps, soft food, and simply being close to the people he loves.

I know many people scroll past senior dogs looking for puppies, but they’re missing out on something really special. Senior dogs ask for so little, yet they give so much.

Luxy deserves a family that sees him the way we do—not as an old dog, but as a loving companion with so much life and love left to give.

There is no greater feeling than watching a dog leave rescue and begin the life they always deserved. Every adoption is a reminder of why we do what we do.

Let me remind u of her timeline since we got the call of desperate help needed. 15 years old 👵. Dumped like 🗑️

Dumped by her family in a gross dog carrier with grown out nails and an eye issue outside by herself to then be redumped by another family member to the amazing @tailofhearts who showed her love and trust and then adopted over to another stranger. It’s A LOT

The best glow-up is a rescue glow-up.
