Traveling this summer? One of the biggest tips we can give is that if you are checking your bag, drop an AirTag in the bag. If your bag doesn’t make it to your destination, the AirTag will give you a better idea of where the luggage is than the airline tracking.

Washington, D.C. - Spring Break 2023

We drove down to DC for a fun and quick trip with our family, the Woodens.

Tips:
We stayed in The Hotel at the University of Maryland. The rooms are amazing the prices were fair, and it’s a quick trip to DC from there. It also has an indoor pool which is great for our swimmers, and plenty of food options on-site and nearby. Parking a large vehicle is not an option for most places near DC but The Hotel will let you park right up front.

If you’re visiting DC with kids take some time to knock out some tours. A half-day tour with a bus is perfect for little legs, but be sure to pack snacks. Candytopia was a good move but the National Harbor was a setup; waaaayyy too overpriced down there for nothing.

If you need to park an oversized vehicle like a Sprinter down in the heart of DC you’ll be looking forever but don’t fret, there is a lot across from the Renaissance Hotel on New York Ave and 9th St that accommodates large vehicles. Drop your family off, park, then Uber back to them.

Oh, and lastly, if you go during March you might catch all of those trees that people go crazy about. 🌸

We will post more from DC soon. by @reservationsfor6
