A heartfelt thank you to Councillor Amber Morley @morleyforward3 for coming out to support the Back to School Ice Cream Social!

Thank you for taking the time to speak with our patrons, for showing support to Sweet Stuff @sweet_stuff_inc and the Reset for the Kids™ initiative, and for genuinely listening to what we're building in this community.

Bringing people together starts with leaders who show up, and we're grateful for the support shown to our community initiative.

Wooohooo! We did it Nigel! 🙌🏾

Thank you, for showing up for an upcoming entrepreneur like myself, and for extending your support in getting important information out to kids and families in our community.

Your shop @sweet_stuff_inc is truly a place where kids feel welcome. From customers stopping in to see what was happening, and new faces discovering your space for the very first time. That kind of warmth is no accident. 👏🏾

Thank you for saying yes, and for believing in @redetforthekids. ✨️

🗣 If you haven't been to Sweet Stuff yet, go check them out, you won't regret it!

The rum and raisin is 💣 IYKYK

Back to school means getting back into routines, and reading is be one of them. 📚

Even 15 minutes a day with your child matters.

You read a page, they read a page. You read the whole book and ask them to tell you what happened. Talk about the characters. Ask questions. Let them point out words they recognize.

And if your child isn’t reading yet, read to them.

It’s not always about teaching your child how to read. Sometimes it’s about showing them that reading matters because you’re making time to do it together.

Work late? Get creative. Read together before school, call home on your break and listen to them read, or ask another trusted adult to share that reading time with them.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Make the 15 minutes count. 🧡📚

In light of Mental Health Awareness Month, here's a tip: ask better questions.

Back to school excitement is real. So is the nervousness. Both feelings can live in the same child at the same time.

This school year, don't just ask what they're excited about. Ask what makes them nervous too. Who they'll sit with at lunch. Where they'll fit in. What's weighing on them that they haven't said out loud.

Every child adjusts differently, and sometimes we don't find out what really happened until midway through the year, or not until it's already over.

Asking the harder questions isn't about focusing on the negative. It's about early intervention. It's about catching what's happening before it becomes a bigger struggle.

This is the Express step of the RESET Code™ in action, giving your child room to say the hard thing, not just the easy one.

Seen. Heard. Equipped. Reset for the Kids™

Parents, check out @resetforthekids for more content and discussions you can have with your kids.

🔔 ring ring ... "Marcus?" "Here!" ... "Zuri?" "Here!" ...

Summer was great. But classes are officially in session. 🎒

Teachers are back. Kids are back. And so is Ms. Walters and the whole Reset for the Kids™ crew.

We're here to help kids see themselves, feel understood, and learn the tools to RESET when things get hard, one story, one character, one moment at a time.

New year. Same mission. Seen. Heard. Equipped.
