Do not cite the deep magic to me, witch. I was there when it was written (Coachella in 2006).

Ottawa 🕶️ Saturday, April 25th we’re bringing ‘Is This It’ in full, start to finish to @27club_ottawa 🚬 Tickets in bio!

It’s been 25 years since @thestrokes dropped their legendary debut album on an unsuspecting public, slicing through the manufactured pop machine that dominated airwaves along with @thehives @thevines and @thewhitestripes

As immortalized in @lizzydgoodman’s explosive book Meet Me In The Bathroom and articulated by @nmemagazine, “The Strokes were the band that made guitar music exciting again.”

April 25th 2026, we’re conjuring that feeling in our nation’s capital. Not only will we be performing the album front to back, but included too, another set of hits and deep cuts spanning the band’s career (tickets at thebrokes.com/shows).

Special shout-out to @imajin.ca for their incredible work in constructing the stage used to replicate The Strokes’ MTV $2 Bill special in this clip. Full video on YouTube, shot and edited by @resolationhouse 📺

Maybe our fave song to perform. Try not to blow your load when the bass kicks in 🎸💦
Playing at @dinastavern felt like a homecoming. We came of age playing on the Silver Dollar stage, in the same era soundtracked by YYYs & Arctic Monkeys 🥹 Thx for having us, @antarcticmonkeystoronto - this could be the beginning of a beautiful indiesleaze friendship. Also, miiiiiight have a bit of a crush on @grrlcrrsh now.

“SAD AROUND ME” • 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓸𝓯𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 𝓿𝓲𝓭𝓮𝓸
AVAILABLE NOW • 𝖉𝖎𝖗𝖊𝖈𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖇𝖞 𝖒𝖆𝖗𝖑𝖔𝖓 𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖑𝖎𝖓

Filmed at The Bell and The Beacon in Parkdale, Toronto by the Resolation House team, captured in a dour and dusky midday glow.

Starring the team that brought • 𝐈 𝐆 𝐈 𝐕 𝐄 • to life aka the Real Bleeders Band and producer Emmett O’Reilly, and featuring special guests Lori Yates, Brianne Burwood, Tram Pinney, Ashley Hansen, and the Colonel Dylan Moules.

Glad to share this beautifully captured, staged, and set snapshot of the modern CN Tower City celebrated folk scene in the Beacon Room, a place we’ve shared song circles, high lifes, birthdays, and simple soft moments, glad to be sad around each other, hell, plum happy around each other too.
