🍂 “The Forest” – autumn on a plate.

Sea buckthorn, chestnut and rosemary come together in this refined dessert creation by Chef Pâtissier Thomas Yoshida and his team, capturing the character of the season in true FACIL style. 🌿✨

Fresh acidity, warm autumn notes and delicate textures create a composition that feels both light and deeply seasonal.

“The Forest” is currently featured on both our lunch menu and as the finale of our gourmet menu.

✨ FACIL on tour – a special evening in Frankfurt

A look back at a culinary evening we truly enjoyed: together with American Express, FACIL Executive Chef and Michelin-starred chef Michael Kempf, joined by Lutz Hesse, Managing Director of THE MANDALA, brought a taste of FACIL to Küchenstudio SÜD in Frankfurt. 👨‍🍳🍽️

Rather than a traditional cooking demonstration, the evening was all about sharing the experience – preparing, plating, tasting and exchanging ideas together.

Our guests were able to get close to the kitchen and discover how carefully selected products, precise craftsmanship and attention to detail come together to create a special FACIL experience. ✨

For us, these personal encounters are what make evenings like this so memorable – when cuisine becomes not only something to taste, but something to experience together.

Thank you to American Express and everyone who joined us for this special evening in Frankfurt.

✨ A new review by Gusto Gourmetführer – celebrating 25 years of FACIL

We are delighted to see FACIL featured in the latest review by @gusto_gourmetfuehrer.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the focus not only on our cuisine, but also on the continuity behind it. Michael Kempf, Joachim Gerner and Thomas Yoshida have shaped FACIL’s culinary identity for decades, while Manuel Finster and Felix Voges represent the warmth, precision and consistency of our service.

This dish reflects exactly that philosophy: product-focused, refined and precise – with every element contributing to the balance of the plate. ✨

Gusto also highlights another part of the FACIL experience: we are open not only for dinner, but also Monday to Friday for lunch, with our gourmet menu and lunch selection.

The best hosts are often the ones you don't notice – until everything feels exactly right. Manuel Finster has been one of those people at FACIL since day one. As Restaurant Manager, he connects guests, service, sommeliers and the kitchen, always keeping the bigger picture in mind. In our final episode, he talks about hospitality, intuition and the many small details that can make an evening unforgettable.

A fitting conclusion to six conversations about 25 years of FACIL. Available wherever you listen to podcasts and on our website. Link in bio.

A special moment for the whole team. A large part of the FACIL family came together for the official presentation of our Two MICHELIN Stars 2026. ❤️

For the 13th consecutive year, FACIL has been awarded Two MICHELIN Stars. A recognition that is reassessed every year and one that continues to inspire us to move forward with passion, precision and creativity.

Behind every plate is a team. Kitchen and service, experience and young talent, creativity and collaboration. Together, they create what FACIL is all about.

Did you know that Maximilian Schmidt originally started in the pâtisserie at FACIL? Together with Felix Voges, he is now one of the best sommeliers in Germany, guiding our guests through wine and beverage pairings every evening. This episode is about unexpected paths, personal growth and why a pairing at FACIL is always about much more than choosing the right wine. Stories that might surprise even regular guests.

25 years of FACIL – and an anniversary that gives something back.

Celebrating 25 years was about more than looking back on many memorable moments. It was also an opportunity to support our city.

Through ticket sales from our anniversary event, together with an additional contribution from THE MANDALA management, a total of €18,000 was donated to Berliner Tafel e.V.

The organisation rescues food and distributes it to people in need across Berlin.

Team spirit, appreciation and a strong sense of togetherness have shaped FACIL for many years. We are especially happy to carry these values beyond our restaurant as part of our 25th anniversary.

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests, friends and companions who celebrated with us and helped make this donation possible.

Ahead of opening FACIL, managing directors and co owners Lutz Hesse and Christian Andresen travelled to London, Paris and beyond in search of lighting concepts, a sense of space and ideas that had nothing to do with restaurants. In episode 4 of the anniversary podcast series, they share how those impressions helped shape a restaurant that feels effortless today.
