Finally! I’ve been waiting for what seems like ages for a delivery of plant pots from a new supplier in Norway. I have a bit of a thing about pots, as you can probably tell as soon as you walk into the shop! I think it’s important to have pots that are as lovely as the plants, rather than just something functional, so I’m always searching for something just that bit different and these have the most beautiful glazes, textures and shapes. I love that our cards are sourced directly from the illustrator, each one is a little piece of art. And when you buy one, you’re helping a creative person keep doing what they do, which feels like a pretty nice reason to send a card 🤍 taken in Hastings Old Town by @reste

I always feel like I’m wishing my life away working in retail. While everyone else is enjoying the heatwave, I’m receiving emails from suppliers encouraging me to consider what I’ll be stocking for Christmas. I can only slowly drift from one season to the next, holding on to the one before for as long as I can.
With this in mind I have a new window. Dried glasses nod to the end of a glorious summer and fit beautifully with @makermarkfurniture’s ash and cord bench.

Please bring back the beautiful weather I’ve just changed up the window and have this lovely Adirondack chair, perfect for someone’s patio if the sun finally comes out again!

Goodbye May, what a great month and its departure was aptly marked by last night’s full moon.

Here’s a final reel showing my second week in Japan, so many of you kindly commented that I didn’t share enough while I was away.

I’m lucky enough to have been to Japan before and I was thinking by going back it may shift that special place it holds in my heart but now I’m home I just have a stronger desire to return. It’s inspiring on so many levels.

A sign that summer is coming, we have our popular shell wreaths back in store. Limited availability as always.

I’m definitely feeling that summer holiday vibe, in case there’s anyone left in Hastings who doesn’t know it 😂, I’m away next week in Japan for a whole fortnight!

I’m hoping to source a few bits for the shop while I’m there, think ceramics, textiles, baskets, kokeshi, I’m so excited!

While I’m away I apologise as we’re having slightly limited opening hours but lovely Rosie has it covered. Open Thursdays to Sundays until mid May. taken in Hastings Old Town by @reste
