PCS celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day (NIPD) 2026 by attending the annual @kkcfss event in Cranbrook on June 17 🙌 Congratulations to PHA student-athlete Sohketa Lewis, a member of the Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation, on her participation in the dance celebrations in traditional regalia she made herself 🤩

PCS is committed to actualizing its acknowledgement that it sits on the traditional and ancestral homeland of the Ktunaxa peoples by recognizing, engaging, incorporating, and valuing the human, social, cultural, and educational contributions the ʔaq’am Community, the Ktunaxa Nation, and all Indigenous peoples make to PCS, our region, our province, and our country—in support of the Truth and Reconciliation process, in pursuit of decolonization, and as a partnership that realizes shared goals, mutual benefit, and greater good 🧡

Don’t worry, Spring Splash is where the coolest adults come out to play as well.🎉

One of my favourite community events. Spring Splash is basically when I emerge from my winter hibernation and start taking photos around town again.💅🏻

Our @purcellcollegiate students had a fun PE class recently up at @kncskis that had me thinking about how cool it must be to learn in Kimberley, BC.⛷️💕

Sometimes I miss street photography. Other times, I realize it never left me… I just brought it to the ice.🏒

Shout out to some of my faves! @purcellcollegiate students and their fellow student athletes from @purcellhockey took on the Terry Fox run last week up at @kncskis 💪 What a great day for a great cause!✨

Kimberley needs more art.✨

I will continue to shout this from the rooftops because it’s true. Art is the heart and soul of communities. It brings brightness to the world, connections to humanity, and a moment of peace to busy lifestyles.🎨

I am so excited to see @inkybec_studio bringing all of that (and more) to Archibald. What used to be a dull sidewalk wall is now booming with abstract colours that tell a story of mountain biking throughout the trails found right in our backyards. I can’t wait for more art - hopefully - to spring up around town!🌲

Want to see this beautiful mural for yourself? Head to @thebreadpeddler.ca to see it!🥖
