You can’t be driven by others but only Jesus. Who cares what social media, your peers or family have to say? A lot of times they don’t want to see you succeed or elevate in your walk.

Wine = His Blood
Luke 22:20
“This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.”

The wine reminds us of the blood Jesus shed for the forgiveness of our sins and the covenant we have with God through Christ.

Bread = His Body

Luke 22:19
“This is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

The bread represents Christ’s body that was broken for us so that we could be made whole.

The Word = Food for Our Spirit

Matthew 4:4
“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Jeremiah 15:16
“Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word became to me the joy and delight of my heart.”

Just as our bodies need food to live, our spirits need God’s Word to grow, be strengthened, and remain healthy.

Lifted Hands = Surrender

Psalm 141:2
“May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.”

Psalm 63:4
“I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name I will lift up my hands.”

Lifted your hands symbolizes surrender, worship, dependence, trust, and a willingness to receive from God. When we raise our hands, we are saying, “Lord, I yield to You. I cannot do this on my own.”

We remember His blood through the wine, His sacrifice through the bread, we are nourished by His Word, and we respond by lifting our hands in complete surrender. He gave everything for us, so we surrender everything to Him

Martha and Mary allowed Jesus into their home, just as when we choose to allow him into our lives.
Yet Martha was to busy attending to the party while Mary sat at Jesus feet soaking in his presence.
We can sometimes get so caught up in our everyday lives that we don’t take time to be like Mary and soak in our father’s presence.
Jesus is a gentleman, he won’t come in unless you open the door, but once you do what are doing after ?

The thoughts of going back don’t stop and they probably never will but I know for a fact I don’t want to go back.
The word of God and the transformation he’s done in my life, his redemption, the reconciliation, his sanctification, his salvation all remind me that my story was worth it. I am who I am today because my mistakes led me to the altar of an amazing, graceful, loving and forgiving God.
And for that I’ll forever be grateful.
My story is my story and I’m not ashamed of it.
