πŸ‘ΎπŸ›’ : The stock at Retro Sect is regularly changing and the only way to see it all is to visit! New items are traded in every day and so there's always something new in. Next month is the 3-year anniversary of opening the shop and I've very proud of how the business is doing, and the wonderful and diverse customers that come to visit me. If you haven't yet visited, what are you waiting for? I'm open Wednesday to Friday, 10am - 6pm and until 4pm on Saturdays. Don't forget, you can help out my independent video by commenting on posts, or by leaving a lovely review on Google. . πŸ…πŸ„΄πŸ…ƒπŸ…πŸ„Ύ πŸ…‚πŸ„΄πŸ„²πŸ…ƒ SOURCING, SELLING AND SAVING CARS, TECH, GAMES AND COLLECTIBLES FROM YOUR PAST π—ͺπ—ͺπ—ͺ.π—₯π—˜π—§π—₯𝗒-π—¦π—˜π—–π—§.𝗖𝗒.π—¨π—ž . #RetroSect #RetroShop #RetroCollective #RetroCollector #RetroGamer taken in Retro Sect by @retro.sect

⏳ Step back to a happier place in time at @Retro.Sect! I pride myself in curating a shop of fond memories; a vibe that you haven't felt in a long time; somewhere that helps you forget all the troubles of today's world and takes you back to simpler times. Everything was more colourful back then. Everything was exciting. Everything felt like an achievement. Today you can dream up anything you like with an app on your phone but it can never substitute real, physical and tangible objects that remind you what fun used to look like. At Retro Sect I'm constantly sourcing and saving some of the finest games, toys, collectibles and tech from the 80s and 90s. If you haven't already got yourself a cosy slice of retro then now's the time... . πŸ…πŸ„΄πŸ…ƒπŸ…πŸ„Ύ πŸ…‚πŸ„΄πŸ„²πŸ…ƒ π—ͺπ—˜π—— - 𝗙π—₯π—œ: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ²π—£π—  𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨π—₯𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ°π—£π—  SOURCING, SELLING AND SAVING GAMES, TECH, TOYS AND COLLECTIBLES FROM YOUR PAST π—ͺπ—ͺπ—ͺ.π—₯π—˜π—§π—₯𝗒-π—¦π—˜π—–π—§.𝗖𝗒.π—¨π—ž . #RetroSect #RetroShop #RetroCollectors #RetroCollective #LoveRetro taken in Retro Sect by @retro.sect

πŸ”Ό Hey, Listen! The Ocarina 3DS version is the perfect remake and the game doesn't need to be entirely remade, right?... What are your thoughts on the recent Switch 2 Ocarina reveal? Ocarina is one of my favourites but something worries me about playing an entirely redone game. I feel like it might overwrite my memories of the original or something. I'm sure at some point I'll get to play the new one at some point (way after release - I don't do hype of scalper feeding), but for now, this is all I need! . πŸ…πŸ„΄πŸ…ƒπŸ…πŸ„Ύ πŸ…‚πŸ„΄πŸ„²πŸ…ƒ π—ͺπ—˜π—— - 𝗙π—₯π—œ: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ²π—£π—  𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨π—₯𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ°π—£π—  SOURCING, SELLING AND SAVING CARS, TECH, GAMES AND COLLECTIBLES FROM YOUR PAST π—ͺπ—ͺπ—ͺ.π—₯π—˜π—§π—₯𝗒-π—¦π—˜π—–π—§.𝗖𝗒.π—¨π—ž . #RetroSect #OcarinaOfTime #Zelda #ZeldaOcarinaOfTime #3DS taken in Retro Sect by @retro.sect

πŸ†• : Another mega arrival this week - a boxed Japanese Virtual Boy with a selection of boxed games and mains adaptor. I do love the Virtual Boy - it's a gaming experience like no other in some good ways and some less so πŸ˜… A core memory of mine is being in an American shopping mall somewhere in California around Christmas '96 and finding a huge Nintendo display with Virtual Boys on the counter for people to try. I was wowed by the 3D Wario game and pleaded with my Dad to buy one but sadly it wasn't quite in the ballpark of "holiday gifts" so instead I settled for two boxed games that would play on my Dad's Mac - Alone in The Dark and Carmageddon - neither of which I should have probably been playing at age 11, but didn't do too much long term harm πŸ˜… Available in store now. Pop in or DM for prices etc . πŸ…πŸ„΄πŸ…ƒπŸ…πŸ„Ύ πŸ…‚πŸ„΄πŸ„²πŸ…ƒ π—ͺπ—˜π—— - 𝗙π—₯π—œ: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ²π—£π—  𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨π—₯𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ°π—£π—  SOURCING, SELLING AND SAVING CARS, TECH, GAMES AND COLLECTIBLES FROM YOUR PAST π—ͺπ—ͺπ—ͺ.π—₯π—˜π—§π—₯𝗒-π—¦π—˜π—–π—§.𝗖𝗒.π—¨π—ž . #RetroSect #RetroGaming #VirtualBoy #NintendoVirtualBoy #NintendoCollector taken in Retro Sect by @retro.sect

πŸ†• : Just in at Retro Sect, one of the rare UK-only Star Wars variant of the "Play It Loud" transparent Nintendo Game Boys. A complete-in-box version of this specific bundle (with the original polystyrene insert, manuals, and cartridge) is considered a rare and highly sought-after Game Boy bundle. It was issued as a late-lifecycle promotional package for the original DMG Game Boy, capitalizing on the re-release of the original Star Wars trilogy (The Special Edition) in cinemas that same year. . πŸ…πŸ„΄πŸ…ƒπŸ…πŸ„Ύ πŸ…‚πŸ„΄πŸ„²πŸ…ƒ π—ͺπ—˜π—— - 𝗙π—₯π—œ: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ²π—£π—  𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨π—₯𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ°π—£π—  SOURCING, SELLING AND SAVING CARS, TECH, GAMES AND COLLECTIBLES FROM YOUR PAST π—ͺπ—ͺπ—ͺ.π—₯π—˜π—§π—₯𝗒-π—¦π—˜π—–π—§.𝗖𝗒.π—¨π—ž . #RetroSect #RetroGaming #StarWarsGames #StarWarsGameBoy #GameBoyCollector taken in Retro Sect by @retro.sect

πŸ’ΏπŸŽ§ : RE-E-WIND @ RETRO SECT - CD Albums now available in store! Also considered for trade-in along with players and accessories. Streaming is convenient, but nothing replaces owning the physical album, uncompressed audio, and real cover art. Are you buying CDs again, or is your player gathering dust? Please bear in mind I'll only be taking select CD albums. I can't take huge collections at this point and reserve the right to tell you to take your Coldplay albums elsewhere... . πŸ…πŸ„΄πŸ…ƒπŸ…πŸ„Ύ πŸ…‚πŸ„΄πŸ„²πŸ…ƒ π—ͺπ—˜π—— - 𝗙π—₯π—œ: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ²π—£π—  𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨π—₯𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦: πŸπŸ¬π—”π—  - πŸ°π—£π—  SOURCING, SELLING AND SAVING CARS, TECH, GAMES AND COLLECTIBLES FROM YOUR PAST π—ͺπ—ͺπ—ͺ.π—₯π—˜π—§π—₯𝗒-π—¦π—˜π—–π—§.𝗖𝗒.π—¨π—ž . #RetroSect #CDMusic #CDs #PhysicalMedia #MusicCollector taken in Retro Sect by @retro.sect

πŸ†•7/7 JUST IN @ Retro Sect, Kid Icarus for Game Boy, boxed in lovely condition and buncled with an unopened pack of Kid Icarus: Uprising AR Idol Cards. Unlike the notoriously brutal NES original, the Game Boy sequel allows for downward scrolling (preventing instant-death falls) and adds free-roaming stage navigation and battery-backed saves, making it arguably the better-designed game. As always I have a wide choice of boxed and unboxed Game Boy games in store alongside a huge choice of consoles and accessories.
