With all the TMNT buzz in everyone’s feeds right now because of a new movie and game in the works, I figured it’s a good time to repost this piece as a higher-quality reel.

After sharing my Blade Runner tribute, I got a lot of requests for Escape from New York. So, back into the dark, decaying streets of John Carpenter’s dystopian Manhattan. Revisiting my tribute to another one of cinema’s most iconic visions of the future.

BLADE RUNNER (1982)

Original Score: Vangelis

Few films have created a world as visually unforgettable as Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. A city possessed by neon light, towering shadows, and perpetual rain. Here is my tribute to the atmosphere, architecture, and cinematic artistry that have made it timeless.

Well, this feels like a good excuse to bring this one back.

Dan Stevens is our new RoboCop, with James Wan, Peter Ocko and Prime Video bringing Alex Murphy back to the screen.

Can’t wait to see what they do with it.

“I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture.”

There was a time when Gore Verbinski and BioShock shared the same horizon. We’ll never see the Rapture he envisioned, but it’s impossible not to wonder how unforgettable it might have been.

Here’s my tribute to the film that never surfaced.

One of those movies that completely rewired your imagination as a kid.

Jurassic Park still feels massive, dangerous, and full of wonder every time I revisit it.

The Orrery scene in Prometheus is still one of my favorite VFX sequences ever put to film.

The way the holographic star map unfolds through the darkness, reacting to the space and characters around it, feels completely tangible. Every frame of the sequence is alive with scale and atmosphere.

It felt decades ahead of its time in 3D theaters. Pure cinematic immersion.

My humble tribute to one of Ridley Scott’s most mesmerizing moments.

April 15, 1983. The Evil Dead hit theaters and quietly rewired what horror could be. Raw, relentless, and completely its own thing.

Sam Raimi has always been one of my favorite directors, and this is still one of my favorite films. You can feel the ambition in every frame. No safety net, just pure creative swing.

Some things age. This one just gets louder.
