Josh, is moving away from Japan tomorrow and now that I’ve started crying because its finally hit me, it’s been really tough to stop the waterworks🥴 Josh, you’re my best friend and to experience life with you is to feel blessed by God. For those that don’t know, Josh and I started our journey together in the United States as parade partners at Walt Disney World Florida, and it was a one in a million chance that we both got the contract opportunity to perform together at Tokyo Disneyland. The first picture is taken in the Walt Disney World Epcot Japan pavilion celebrating our contract offer, excited and unaware of what the next year of our life would bring. We’ve braved the world by each others side. We’ve taken many magic carpet rides together, but tomorrow you take your own flight away from Tokyo Japan 🇯🇵 Josh since you came into my life it’s been A Whole New World with you. I couldn’t possibly part with you if it wasn’t for the fact that your new dreams are coming true! I’m so proud that you are moving to Hawaii to work for a Christian boarding school to start their theater program! You’re going to change so many lives 🥹🩵Thank you for being my diamond in the rough 💎 and thank you for being my best friend through so many seasons of life. I thank God everyday that he’s given us the coolest best friend story. You know, since you’ve come into my life, we haven’t done life apart. It feels like a part of my heart and history is leaving with you tomorrow. And that’s a very difficult thing to face. But I’m so lucky to have gained a best friend for the rest of my life. I guess I’ll be flying to Hawaii one day! Some friendships are meant to last forever. I just can’t say goodbye so I’ll see you soon Josh. ❤️ taken in Tokyo, Japan by @retrorisa1

✈️ I’M MOVING TO JAPAN! 🇯🇵

I said YES to the biggest opportunity of my life, accepting a contract to perform for @tokyodisneyresort_official

I’ll be packing my bags and moving to Tokyo this January and I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t even begin to imagine what life in Japan will be like, but I’m ready to find out! AND I’m heading to Tokyo with my best friend at my side. Josh, I can’t wait to see us flourish in new and unexpected ways together and make memories that will last a lifetime! From being partners performing in Disney Boo to You Parade together ➡️to Tokyo📍 God really outdid Himself with this one. I’ll never forget the amount of times we prayed together for this opportunity. All season we said, “what a miracle it would be…wouldn’t it be great.”

Of all the stars I’ve wished upon, this one is my favorite 🥹♥️ Dreams really do come true. I’m so happy I never gave up on little Risa’s dreams. This one’s for the little girl that was…and still is. But most importantly, this one’s for the woman that I am today 🥹 I can’t thank God enough for this once in a lifetime opportunity!

TOKYO…HERE I COME! 🇯🇵✈️

I got medical laser hair removal in Tokyo 🇯🇵✨
After they put on the numbing cream, they wrapped me in plastic wrap and it was VERY humbling 😂
I went to Le Coquelicot. They spoke fluent English, and I was able to get treatment without Japanese health insurance. Such an easy experience as a foreigner in Tokyo! 🥹 I highly recommend coming here for facials and laser hair removal on your vacation.

There’s something about going to 7-Eleven after work 😂🍙
I only came to grab dinner, but there are way too many things I want to try…
Japanese convenience stores really are the best 🇯🇵✨

仕事から帰ってきただけなのに…😂🌪️
髪びしょびしょ、服びしょびしょ、そして風に完全敗北しました。

I literally just came home from work… 😂🌪️
Wet hair, soaked clothes, and absolutely defeated by the typhoon wind.

日本のディズニーグッズ、可愛すぎて本当に危険😂🐿️
こういう謎グッズまで欲しくなっちゃう。
でもこれ、意外と便利かも…？

Disney merch in Japan is dangerously cute 😂🐿️
Somehow I even end up wanting random things like this.
But wait… this one might actually be useful?
