POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The dream of the 90's is alive in Head Empty.

After years of doing whatever, we've finally gotten around to recording these songs properly.

Our self-titled album will be available November 20th on all streaming platforms.

"Barriers" is available right now on Bandcamp, and will be on streaming within the week!

Some of these songs were written almost 10 years ago, and it took a lot of trial and error to get where we are now.

thank you for waiting <3 maybe it was worth it?

I want to heavily shout out @matthewcastellanoart for spending so much time and effort on this incredible art, and @sasha_longlastname for editing everything together and making a badass CD design.

We'll (hopefully) have some early physical releases at Harvest Fest so uhhh see you there?

.

Happy 1st Wedding and 5th overall anniversary to my soul mate and love of my life forever. I've never felt or thought it was possible to feel so comfortable and safe and loved with someone before, it's startling at times how connected and together we are. It's such an honor and blessing to grow with you and build our lives together. You are my everything. I love you so much forever. by @returningtothefold

Yesterday, Alex Cash and I visited Ian while he was working at Our House, to show him an album that had just arrived. The album is “Victims of the Modern Age,” a Food Not Bombs, Long Island punk benefit compilation from 1999. Track 30 on the album is “TV Zombies” by The Loiterers, which Ian sang again at White Water last Friday night, 26-years-later. One of the first things Ian said to us about Friday’s show was, “We need to use this energy and momentum to host benefit shows for local groups that are helping people in Little Rock.”

Just as Ian’s songs are grounded in the punk scenes where they were written, so is his compassion. “Victims of the Modern Age” represents the countless amount of time, effort, and energy given freely to accomplish the revolutionary work of feeding and caring for people.

I don’t think we’ll need to host another benefit for Ian, but instead with Ian. After a much needed break, we’ll start that work with him. The money raised from this show has given Ian housing security and the ability for him to move into an apartment and adopt a dog.

Ian did not pull himself up by his own bootstraps and emerge from being unhoused alone. He did it with the support of a strong, compassionate community that cares and believes in him.

None of us are alone in this world. We all exist out of the inherent goodness of humanity.

If you are suffering please reach out to Arkansas’ crisis line - 988, or to one of our local nonprofits (RCA, the Canvas Community, AA, NA, the Van, NAMI).

Thank you to everyone that showed up to the Lords of Rock Bottom show on Friday. A special thank you to Walt and Brook. Thank you Alex for doing everything and more. Thank you Matt White and White Water for cultivating an amazing space that allows events like these to happen. Thank you everyone that made this event happen.

We sold out of our Lords of Rock Bottom T-Shirts at the show! We have a limited run going this week until Sunday with sizes from Small to 3XL. You can order them at thelordsofrockbottom.bigcartel.com (Link in Bio).

If you would like to support Ian directly, the CashApp is, $PunkRockIanBenefit
