SHOT DAY 💉💗

Thank you to every single person who showed up, supported, helped, volunteered, performed, connected, and poured love into this day.

What we created together was bigger than an event. It was a space where Black trans people could show up as ourselves, access resources, be celebrated, laugh, connect, and feel held by community.

Thank you to @lush.mpls who trusted the vision and helped us bring it to life. To our partners, supporters, friends, and every one who walked through the door, this could not have happened without you.

Summer is over. Not my favorite summer, but here’s a tiny bit of my favorite moments. I’m going to start taking more photos because I have become too anti capturing moments, I’m not gone have shit to look back on in years to come. AND BTW, eff that lady for the P Valley lawsuit tanking my show and no I don’t always feel like eating no dry ass pretzels all of the time. by @reu.aga

I thought I’d have to wear a braided wig to achieve the look and tbh the way the Liberian women gripped me up, I may have to cause I ain’t gone have no more hair once I take these out.

Anyway, I’m producing my first caberet show in Minneapolis and could use some social media support. Like/folllow/repost so these spaces see the stock WE have in culture and uplift more of US in their spaces.

Shot Day is a trans-centered cabaret and burlesque experience celebrating Black trans people, trans people of color, and everyone finding freedom beyond the binary through drag, music, theater, poetry, community, and a little bit of chaos. Come be glamorous, horny, artistic, tender, and fully alive with us. Cover is $10.
