At 44, I had a minor heart attack.

And as terrifying as that experience was, it gave me something I didn’t know I needed: perspective.

It showed me who is really in my corner. Who genuinely cares about me. Who shows up. Who loves me when there’s nothing to gain from it.

It also reminded me just how important it is to protect your peace and be intentional about the people you allow into your life.

Someone recently said to me, “Leave God out of it.”

And honestly? That only made me want to make Him more of my whole personality.

Because without God, and without people who truly love you, what are we really doing this for?

The money. The fame. The followers. The success. None of it means anything in the end.

It’s all vapor.

What matters is the people you’re doing life with. The love you give. The love you receive. Your faith. Your family. Your purpose. The things that are eternal.

So if you’re reading this and you’ve fallen down, my advice is simple:

Get back up.

And if you have to, get back up a million times.

Your life has purpose.
Your life has meaning.
You were created to do wonderful things.

Protect your peace. Choose your people wisely. Put God first.

It’s been a long time since I’ve shared work from behind the camera.

For a while, I had to protect my creativity. Life was asking a lot of me, and I didn’t want to force something that needed space to breathe. Sometimes stepping away is the only way to make sure you don’t lose the part of yourself that loves creating in the first place.

Coming back has reminded me why I fell in love with this work. Not because of the photos, but because of the people. Meeting new creatives, making things together, sharing ideas, and slowly finding my community again has been the best part.

With so much conversation around AI, I’ve found myself appreciating the human side of creativity even more. The conversations on set, the unexpected moments, the energy between people, and the instinct that goes into making something feel real. That’s the part I never want to lose.

I’m not trying to get back to where I was. I’m building something that feels even more honest than before.

It feels really good to be creating again and I owe so much of it to my incredible partners @newera.creative

I spent a decade building an INC 5000 agency. And then I walked away.
Not because it failed. Because I saw what was coming. What most people don’t know is that we were already there. Years before AI became a buzzword, I was working alongside AI architects and integrating Agentic AI into our agency operations. We were AI-native before the world even had a name for it.
So when everyone started scrambling to adopt AI, I had already watched it develop from the inside. I knew what it could do. And more importantly, I knew what it couldn’t.
That’s when I made the decision to walk away from the agency model and put that knowledge directly into people’s hands. Teaching entrepreneurs and business owners how to build smarter. Real workflow systems, real operational strategy, not just tools and trends.
But I also built something else entirely.
Because I know what AI will never replace. Real creative. Real production. Content that actually moves people and builds brands that last. So with a handful of talented women, we built New Era Creative. A completely different model where every shoot, every campaign, every asset is engineered as a distribution system from day one.
Two different businesses. One through line.
I know when to use the machine. And I know when to trust the human. That’s not a contradiction. That’s the whole point.

Some days I feel like I know exactly what I’m doing.

Most days, I’m just figuring it out as I go.

Motherhood, autism, business, life… none of it came with a roadmap. I’ve spent a lot of years thinking I needed to have everything planned out before taking the next step.

Now I’m learning to trust myself a little more.

To go with the flow.
To adapt.
To learn the lesson when it arrives.
To stop waiting until I have all the answers.

Life has a funny way of teaching us exactly what we need when we need it.

So here’s to learning as we go, giving ourselves grace, and trusting that we’re capable of handling whatever comes next. 💕#parenting #autismparents by @reveckajallad

“Winning in a time of change”…simply being put, we’ve grown under the most strenuous circumstances and I’m damn proud of the work we’ve put in as a team to get us here. Building an agency has so many intricacies and while the world was shutting down…we were soaring! Regarding our journey of growth, I will say this. It’s the long and steady road that gets you to where you need to be. Consistency and time are more important than all nighters. The few big things will pale in comparison to the sum of all the little things we do on a daily basis that bring us closer to our goal. No matter how big or small.
