Eiji Taniguchi #musicfrommemory #jamietiller#virtualdreams by @revelation_time
this project came true at last... It’s been quite a trip! Thanks Jamie and Tako, MFM crew for hooking us up for this project, all the artists, labels, and everyone who joined and helped to make this project possible. and of course my partner Norio! #heiseinooto #musicfrommemory #Repost @music_from_memory with @get_repost ・・・ MFM053 - Heisei No Oto - Japanese Left-field Pop From The CD Age (1989-1996) (2xLP) compiled by @revelation_time and @recordshopraregroove is here and looks and sounds super amazing!! Copies will be available soon in stores worldwide via @rhd_rushhourdistribution in the coming weeks. Demand has been beyond our expectations but we are repressing and hope to have copies back in as soon as possible. Dream Dolphin / Gaia: Selected Ambient & Downtempo Works (1996-2003) finally landed!! This is a very unique compilation, where "Virtual Dreams" and "Heisei No Oto" meet... I'm so happy this project came true and I worked with one of the best label! #musicfrommemory #dreamdolphin by @revelation_time

Revelation Time owner Eiji Taniguchi has had a monumental impact on me since we first met in Osaka over 15 years ago. His taste, studious digging + encyclopaedic knowledge of micro-genres are second to none, + every time we catch up he's on a completely new + inspired trip. Here’s a quick sampler of what he’ll be packing for next week’s Victorian streak, taking in two festivals, a warehouse party + a listening session ➡️ Sat 31 Oct – Echo Beach @ Collingwood Children's Farm, Naarm / Melbourne Sat 31 Oct – Witching Hour @ Secret Warehouse, Naarm / Melbourne Wed 4 Nov – Efficient Space Presents @ Tender, Naarm / Melbourne [SELLING FAST] Sat 7 Nov – Hopkins Creek Festival, Taungurung Country / Glenaroua by @revelation_time
ジャケットは @circle_photo_studio の @mtmt_akn ちゃん。 Guchi, @guchilink, has spent this year releasing new music every month through his ambitious dubplate project. The tenth installment, PROOF “10”, has arrived, with only 3 copies available. It features “Seepage” and “Who Cares”. After problems with his home studio forced him to remove all of his equipment and stop production, the setup finally seems close to being fully restored. The November tracks have also been submitted, and the finish line is in sight. Music is not a competition or a game of building the perfect setup. Making good music matters, but so does continuing to love it. Those words carry weight from someone who has kept creating every month. For the first time, mastering was handled by Anne Taegert at Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin. She has also worked on releases by Anthony Naples, whose music Guchi often uses as a reference, making this a long awaited collaboration. The jacket is once again by Akane, @mtmt_akn, of @circle_photo_studio. It uses a photograph of the water problem, with resin applied over the droplets. Only 2 releases remain. Let us hope there are no more problems! We also received one extra copy of PROOF “9”, which sold out instantly last time. First come, first served! GUCHI, PROOF “10” Price, 6,000 JPY Limited to 3 copies, one per customer Available in store or via DM for mail order. by @revelation_time

@escape_lodgeandespresso presen 『LODGE&MUSIC × Donna Leake VIII』 @Compufunk Records Music. 20:00–4:00 Door. 3,500yen + 1 drink order Venue. @compufunk_records (BORN 2000 OR LATER → 1,000yen OFF DISCOUNT) DJ:DONNA LEAKE (London / UK) @donnaleake1 Fila Brazillia, the Hull based duo of Steve Cobby and David McSherry, have been moving freely between downtempo, electronica, funk, jazz and dub since the early 1990s. Released on their own Twentythree label in 2002, Jump Leads blends live instrumentation and electronics with Latin, jazz, soul and African influences in their unmistakably fluid style. The highlight for me is Mother Nature's Spies, which samples Malian singer Oumou Sangaré's Sabu. Modal jazz influenced drums and bass form the backbone while layers of samples move in and out of the mix. Earthy and organic, yet strangely futuristic. The meeting of traditional music and electronics is nothing new, but Fila Brazillia reshape it into their own loose, understated downtempo language with remarkable balance. The relaxed elegance and open minded musical approach of their early Pork releases is still here, but with an even more organic and colourful sound. Great sounding triple vinyl pressing. https://www.discogs.com/seller/RevelationTime_Osaka/profile And tomorrow, October 9, Donna Leake will be playing at @Compufunk. Mike Dehnert - Air Frais EP (Echocord Colour) Mike Dehnert, the man behind Fachwerk and a key figure in Berlin’s raw, functional techno sound, released this three track EP on Echocord Colour in 2010, the sister label of Copenhagen dub techno institution Echocord. The standout for us is “Pompage”. Rugged kicks and grainy loops form the foundation, while deep bass and damp, spacious echoes slowly shift and expand around them. Minimal without ever feeling static, it is full of abstract detail and subtle movement that keeps unfolding as the track develops. Dub Techno continues to move fast, with immersive and stripped back productions currently attracting much of the attention. But there is still something special about tracks like this, where abstraction and progression play a bigger role. A forward thinking take on dub techno, balancing rawness and weight with a beautifully suspended, floating quality. For sale on our Discogs store 👉 https://www.discogs.com/seller/RevelationTime_Osaka/profile Mike Dehnert – Air Frais EP（Echocord Colour） 自身のFachwerkを拠点にベルリン地下の硬質テクノを更新してきたMike Dehnertが、コペンハーゲンのダブテクノ名門Echocordのサブレーベル、Echocord Colourから2010年に発表した3曲入りEP。 For sale on our Discogs store 👉 https://www.discogs.com/seller/RevelationTime_Osaka/profile by @revelation_time
Ashley Beedle Presents The Jamayka Boys: Dancehall Sessions, Junior Boy’s Own Ashley Beedle, the force behind Black Science Orchestra and a member of X Press 2 and Ballistic Brothers, released this 12 inch under The Jamayka Boys name in 1996. “Good Body Girls”, with its heightened Afro reggae flavor and almost Speed Garage feel, is great, but my personal favorite is the B side, “Rastaman (Hawkes Drift)”. A sharply honed, smoky, tribal track with a dry, stripped back groove. Fragments of reggae vocals dissolve into the echoes above a low slung bassline. Then a cosmic synth slowly crosses the night sky. A slow burner that gradually works its way into a dark dancefloor. It sounds as if it exists somewhere between Dub House and Afro House, yet refuses to settle into any clear category. That sense of not quite knowing what it is is exactly what makes it so compelling. More than fifty copies are still listed on Discogs, and prices remain surprisingly low. It seems to have been completely overlooked. A strong recommendation for anyone drawn to alternative dance music. 👉 On Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/seller/RevelationTime_Osaka/profile We will be closed Monday, October 5, Tuesday, October 6, for our regular day off. Ashley Beedle Presents The Jamayka Boys – Dancehall Sessions（Junior Boy’s Own） Black Science Orchestraを率い、X Press 2、Ballistic Brothersの一員としてもUKクラブ音楽を横断してきたAshley Beedleが、The Jamayka Boys名義で96年に発表した12インチ。 by @revelation_time
Rubadub - 2 Breath 2 Echo (Reproduction Outernational) Reproduction Outernational was an instrumental dub label founded by Naka Tomizawa of King Of Opus. Released in 2000 as the label’s first catalogue entry, this seven inch comes from the mysterious Rubadub. Very little information about Rubadub seems to have survived, including details of the musicians or production team involved. The music is stripped back, uncompromising steppers dub in its purest form. Heavy rhythms and deep, sinking bass provide the foundation, while dry melodica lines drift through layers of echo and space. Reproduction Outernational went on to release records by Mumble Man and Cultivator, before coming to an end after just three releases. Released out of Japan and finding its way into UK sound system circles, it truly lives up to the label’s Outernational name. Now rarely seen on the second hand market, this is a little known gem of Japanese steppers dub. 👉 Discogs store: https://www.discogs.com/seller/RevelationTime_Osaka/profile We will be closed Monday, October 5, Tuesday, October 6, for our regular day off. by @revelation_time
