✨ Meet Your Panelist: Marjorie Fisher ✨

So many women enter perimenopause feeling caught off guard, even those with a background in healthcare.

Marjorie’s story is one that so many can relate to, and it’s exactly why her voice on this panel matters.

She brings both clinical experience and lived understanding helping women not just recognize what’s happening, but feel supported in what to do next.

This is what makes the panel discussion so powerful.
It’s where awareness turns into real-life application.

If you’ve been navigating changes without clear answers, this is your opportunity to be in a space that helps you connects the dots.

Spouses or partners are welcome. Understanding at home creates a different kind of support. One that continues long after the event.

Join us on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 pm for this in-person only event because don’t have to figure this out alone.🩷 DM me "Peri" for the link to register for this free event or use link in bio.

#Lifestyle Medicine and Menopause
Lifestyle Medicine is a powerful, evidence-based approach to managing menopause naturally by addressing the root causes of symptoms rather than simply treating them. It focuses on six key pillars that can significantly improve quality of life during this transition:
🌿 1. Nutrition
A whole-food, plant-forward diet rich in fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds helps balance hormones and reduce inflammation.
💪 2. Physical Activity
	•	Regular movement improves mood, sleep, bone density, and heart health.
😴 3. Restorative Sleep
•	Hormonal fluctuations can disrupt sleep. Prioritizing sleep hygiene—consistent bedtime, cool room, and screen-free wind-down—supports recovery and hormone balance.
🧘🏽‍♀️ 4. Stress Management
•	Chronic stress raises cortisol, which worsens hot flashes, weight gain, and mood issues.•	Meditation, prayer, breathwork, journaling, and time in nature help regulate the nervous system and promote calm.
💞 5. Social Connection
•	Meaningful relationships protect emotional health and reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression.
🚭 6. Avoidance of Risky Substances
•	Limiting or eliminating alcohol, nicotine, and recreational drugs helps maintain hormonal balance, protect the liver, and improve overall vitality. by @revitalisher

Menopause symptoms happen because of changes in hormone levels, especially estrogen and progesterone, as the ovaries naturally produce less of these hormones during the transition into menopause. Some symptoms of Menopause
✅Hot flashes & night sweats: Estrogen normally helps regulate body temperature. As levels drop, the brain’s thermostat (hypothalamus) becomes more sensitive, triggering sudden blood vessel dilation and sweating.
✅Vaginal dryness: Estrogen keeps the vaginal tissue elastic, thick, and well-lubricated. When estrogen declines, the vaginal walls become thinner, less elastic, and produce less natural lubrication.
✅Incontinence (leaking urine): Lower estrogen weakens the pelvic floor muscles and the tissues that support the bladder and urethra, leading to stress or urge incontinence.
✅Increased bladder infections: Estrogen protects the urinary tract lining and supports healthy vaginal bacteria (lactobacilli). Without it, the vaginal and urinary tissues become thinner and less protected, making infections (UTIs) more likely.
✅Mood swings: Estrogen influences brain chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Fluctuating or low estrogen can cause irritability, anxiety, sadness, and mood swings.
🌸In short, hormonal decline—especially estrogen—affects multiple systems in the body: temperature regulation, urinary tract, vaginal tissue, and even brain chemistry. That’s why menopause symptoms can feel so wide-ranging.
⚖️ The best approach often combines lifestyle, holistic practices, and—if needed—medical treatments. Some women prefer natural and behavioral strategies, others benefit from medications, and many use a mix.
