This evening I joined with new friends from the Migration with Dignity Coalition and folks from the East End for a procession and vigil for Lorenzo Salgado. The procession was the full stations of the cross liturgy over the course of a mile long walk, and the guy in slides 4-6 carried that cross the entire way, at the front of the procession, holding it high.

When we got to the vigil, he spoke eloquently for justice for everyone, including Lorenzo Salgado, who was his father. I learned there that it was Ronaldo Salgado, one of Lorenzo’s sons.

Our Bible is not short on exhortations to seek justice, welcome the migrant, and bind up the broken hearted.

And sometimes our God shows us what faith looks like in the example of those who stand with courage in the midst of pain. by @revnayte

Ollie’s first international trip was home to England to finally meet his extended family. We packed in a wedding, family time, walks, very cold weather, and a visit to Old Trafford. The last two photos are in the same spot 7 years apart. Life was good but fuller now than I ever imagined. by @revnayte
