During a woofing on an organic farm in Ardèche, France, photographer Anne-Sophie Auclerc discovered a world of seeds, resistance, and quiet revolutions. Hosted by Julien, a seed farmer within the Kokopelli network, she witnessed alternative farming methods carried out alongside, and often against, the constraints of conventional agriculture. Since 1999, Kokopelli has defended organic, reproducible peasant seeds, long absent from official catalogues and once considered illicit. These seeds, exchanged and cultivated despite legal pressure, embody a form of militant resilience: a fight for biodiversity, autonomy, and the freedom to grow.

In Les yeux fermés, Eliot Nasrallah takes us on a photographic and cinematic exploration of resilience. The healing of the human body in the face of nature. After delving into interior spaces, the artist leads us on a maiden voyage, culminating at the heart of the Stefanos volcano in Greece. There, with eyelids lowered and hand pressed against the rock, the body enters into a silent dialogue with the mineral vastness. The Volcano Song echoes this encounter. The crater, dormant for millennia, becomes a symbol of rebirth, and the enduring force that binds humanity to nature.

Between memory and silence, "Les veines de la pierre" traces an intimate journey of origins.
During a return to Mallorca, her maternal land, Carmen Woreth uses photography to explore the silent ties that shape identity across generations. Through stones, ruins and traces imprinted on both body and land, she rewrites a fragmented history and confronts what lingers in inheritance. In this terrain of memory, absence takes shape and what is transmitted—seen or unseen—slowly reveals itself.

Between concrete jungles and vanishing homes, life persists. In the gaps left by demolition and new high-rises, small gardens take root, people resist, and memories linger. With In Between, artists Aram Tanis and Jacolijn Verhoef turn their gaze toward these fragile spaces in China. Their images capture not only the disappearance of neighborhoods, but also the resilience of those who remain: cultivating food in the rubble, sustaining community, and holding on to another rhythm of life.

Perched above Lake Maggiore, Monte Verità was, in early 20th-century, home to a historic utopian community.
In 2023, during a residency @monteveritaascona on this historic hill, artist @giaimemeloni explored the charged landscape, drawing on its past to reflect on how we inhabit the world today.
His project, Hotel Monte Verità, weaves together solitude, ritual, and a renewed dialogue between nature and culture.

Under the wide sky of Quinta das Relvas, art grows like a wild plant. There, Beatriz — artist and co-founder of this place — envisions creation not as a static spectacle, but as a living language, a way to challenge norms and rekindle the bond between humans and nature.

Through Grão, the artist residency it has hosted since 2018, the Quinta fosters a fertile dialogue between art and ecology. Each stay at the farm becomes an exchange. Some artists arrive seeking new ways to connect their work in the land, others leave simply having brushed against a different rhythm of life and creation.

Nurtured by permaculture principles, the Quinta offers a space where experimentation matters more than finished results; where the true value lies not in what is produced, but in what is transformed along the way. Art and nature are never just backdrops: they are active participants in a living, breathing process.
