The only concrete skatepark in Kenya. Shangilia skate-aid Skatepark is the skate-aid standing for a holistic, self-determined approach to the promotion of young people in the context of youth welfare, sports, culture and international understanding. @shangiliakenya

The construction of skate parks is contributing to creating safe spaces for self-socialization, integration and inclusion between, connecting skaters of diverse age & backgrounds.

Visitors pay an entrance fee to access the skatepark, with the proceeds helping support a nearby Children’s Home. This is an example of how sports facilities can become a force for positive social change, combining recreational activities with community support and social responsibility.

So far there are no public-access skateparks in Kenya. @skateboardingsocietyofkenya is working on a project to build a first one.

Right now, the incredible team of SSK is working towards the next major milestone: building the first public skatepark in Kenya.
