We’re proudly announcing that ReWriter and the AIR Lab at the University of Rochester are partnering to research “Enhancing Guitar Practice and Songwriting with Automatic Guitar Tablature Transcription” as part of the AIR Lab’s commitment to research in the field of computer audition, which includes music, speech, and environmental sound.

Led by Zhiyao Duan (PI), and PhD candidate, Frank Cwitkowitz, our collaborative research partnership will allow us to bring automatic guitar transcription to guitarists by deploying state of the art algorithms within ReWriter.

Huge thank you to NYS Center of Excellence in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CoE-DSAI) for supporting our journey.

Our team has been working hard since late 2021 on our product — software that transcribes music audio into tablature in real time. You haven’t heard much from us recently because we’ve been focused on building our product.

And the good news is we’re getting closer!

Our Rewriter software is being built by expert engineers who are excited about making your songwriting experience easier. We’re currently working on ‘Alpha 1’ which is the very first demo of our software.

Thanks for your patience as we work to build ReWriter. I can’t wait to share more with you.

Sincerely,

Randy
