Papa by the window Papa, a 5 year old, 18 pound fluffy Selkirk Rex cat is mostly light-orange with white patches and large chonky paws. He sits, backlit in front of a classic double-hung window case. A shadow falls over Papa’s face obscuring his eyes and beautiful facial features. Papa is pensive but alert to his environment and somewhat mysterious. He sits on a semi-circular short platform made of weaved bamboo and Japanese fabric which sits on a white table top in front of the 107 year-old window. Outside the window is the white brick backside of another early-20th Century apartment building in the historic Lower Nob Hill (AKA TenderNob) neighborhood’s hotel district, one block away from where Dashiel Hammett lived, wrote and set his 1930 novel, The Maltese Falcon and a half block from the building where Alfred Hitchcock filmed his 1958 psychological thriller, Vertigo and kitty corner from Ace’s Sports Bar, AKA The Bronx Zoo. by @rexclansf

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
