“The Frozen Oath “ Collection by Reyhan Tavlı

This collection reinterprets arranged marriage experiences, where individual choice can become overshadowed, through the inner world of women.

Focusing on the invisible conflict between the spoken “yes” and the unspoken “no,” the collection explores emotional suspension through the metaphor of “frozen time.”

Frozen Oath explores the idea that a wedding is not always only a celebration; sometimes it can represent quiet acceptance, suppressed emotions, and an invisible inner freezing.

FROZEN OATH — LOOK 02

Look 02 reinterprets the experience of arranged marriage through the inner world of a woman.

This look represents the moment of the wedding ceremony — the moment when she says “yes,” while an unspoken “no” remains within her. Her emotions are still pure and deep, yet unable to be expressed, they are quietly suppressed within.

The invisible conflict between the “yes” she speaks and the “no” she feels slowly begins to freeze her emotions. This look represents the first moment when her inner world begins to fall into silence and emotional distance, before becoming completely frozen.

Important details to keep in mind🫧 👇🏻

* Make sure you use watercolor paper that can handle water. I used watercolor paper.
* Adding one or two pumps of soap to the water is enough.
* After creating the bubbles with a straw, you can gently push the bubbles toward the paper using the straw.
* This part is very important ⭐️
The watercolor on your brush needs to be wet enough to drip onto the bubble. Don’t hold the brush too far away or too close. Gently touch the bubble with the paint.
* Let the bubbles pop on their own.
