@meckycreus and I met as sweaty and stinky 10-12 year old kids in our local skate shop watching skateboarding videos, when we realized we lived within walking distance from each other. Growing up as an only child, it was logical I ended up skating together almost every day. His parents would always greet me with a warm hug and kiss while whispering “Hola Hijo” (“Hello Son”).

Eventually, this became a regular thing. We would spend countless hours skating in front of his house, trying to emulate our heroes we saw on the videos. One day Mecky snuck into his parents closet and found his Dad’s VHS camcorder to start filming ourselves, unlocking the photo/video passion we do for a living today.

This is the tip of the iceberg of some of the moments that taught me to select my friends wisely at such an early age. I don’t know if I ever told you this, Mecky; you, your parents (Lorena and Leopoldo 🕊️ ) and siblings have always been my extended family. You were raised with values we rarely see anymore, hence you’ve always led by example. I’ve always looked up to you, you are the most calm and collected person I’ve ever met. I’ve always admired how emotionally mature you are amidst turbulent times. Your serene determination made you pave your way, achieving your goals in order to do what you love.

@adrienne_hall you’re a strong, brilliant and driven entrepreneur; a true example of determination and conviction. You came into Mecky’s life like a warm beam of light, the minute I met you I couldn’t help noticing the genuine spark of love for him in your eyes. It’s evident you were also raised with the right values, and I’m sure your parents are soaring with pride and joy right now.

For all these reasons; I know you know this, Adrienne, you have the most loyal and dedicated man by your side. It’s amazing to see how you both complement each other in your personal and professional lives, and I’m so happy that you have found one another. Today is a reminder that the best is yet to come.

Hoy es el cumpleaños de esta belleza de mujer; mi north star, la que me brinda luz en mis momentos oscuros.
