A year after graduating it may seem abnormal to see a post but that’s who I am - different jkjk🤣. In all honesty, my feed wouldn’t be me without this here:

Harvard? ME?! WHAT?! How is this real? It never will be real because it will always be magic to me. The best 4 years of my life and solely because I have met my family through this school; the best hearts - full of humility, curiosity, and ambition - everything that I want to grow into. Imagine being in a space 24/7 where everyone, every thing around you, is your idea of inspiration. That is Harvard and that is the people in these pictures and so many more.

My Ismaili @theismaili Muslim family started in Gujarat, India, immigrated to East Africa, and both parents born in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania settled in Los Angeles, leading to me. I am only me because of Zain, Tasnim, and Munaf (my brother, mom, and dad). Why did I get so lucky to be born into a family that gave me the freedom to pursue anything I wanted since birth? I’ve learned from my grandparents the importance of work ethic, faith, and kindness - I hope to continue growing these parts of me forever.

I pray for the satisfaction and happiness of every person I’ve met at this school. I just want you to know I’m a massive fan of you and truly want you to know I’m here for you - it is a priority of mine for the rest of my time.

Maaaaa! Maseries! My best friend. What an incredible day April 3rd, 2025 will always be - the day you meet your Creator, Allah, and you are home.

And to whoever is so kindly reading this, if you’d like, it would be an honor if you watched these videos, learn a bit about Ma, and pray for her bliss always. Her purpose can live through us and understanding her through these vids can be helpful in us doing that!

Ma, I am so proud of you - you’re kind and you commit your life to service. I’m not inspired by you, I believe I’m partly you, continuing your purpose to give. You’re a believer and I’m too.

My comfort is defined by you. With you, I’m invincible - I can do anything. You believe in me more than yourself. It’s not that you want to see me do great, you simply aren’t built to believe anything else. You believe in seeing the good in others, in thinking positively. Your morals are pristine, they radiate off your strong voice and loving laugh.

I could say I don’t know what I’m going to do, but that’s not true; you’ve prepared me for this moment - to change the world. You’re one soul amongst many and you want me to give love to each one as I love you because all deserve it. I must do everything with the depth of my soul unconditionally - each moment is God’s gift.

You commit yourself to your kids, pray more for us than we do for us - you’re smart and formed a force of good, the Shamji’s. You raised kids at daycare with the love you give us, fed families a taste of heaven through your hand, you make sure each person has what they need.

It is now time you take what you need and that is rest and faith that we will be ok.

We got this, I got this, because you’ve taught us how to. Smile big and be proud that you’ve done exactly what you hoped - you’ve served your family and the world. You’ll continue to serve through your kids. Wow Ma, as I sit here starting my day, I do it with 111% and a massive smile because “why not?” That’s how you want me to live.

My heart and soul is yours AND everyone else’s - I know you’d be proud of me for recognizing that. You are my Ma, my superhero, and my foundation. I’m doing and will continue to do good my friend, I love you. by @rezashamji

Happy birthday best friend! You are 18 and, although am so excited for you, I never wanted this day to come as you are off to college. I need you to know how much you have shaped me, taught me, and shown me what love really is. You are the most amazing person in this world. I love you Zain Bane Candy Cane.
