Each Rezident apartment has either a fully equipped kitchen or at least kichenette containing a heater, an espresso machine, a toaster and microwave.

☕️ Because we know that details matter and a hot tea can go a long way.

This year, Corbu Cleanup Day went beyond the beach. 💚

On October 3, our partnership with @environ.romania gave participants the chance to bring along electrical and electronic devices they no longer used at home. Phones, laptops, chargers and cables made their way to the ENVIRON collection point, which filled up throughout the day.

Together, we collected 500 kg of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), kept separate from the beach litter and handed over to ENVIRON for responsible handling.

For us at Rezident, this partnership also meant we could offer a practical answer to a familiar question: “What do I do with devices I no longer use?”

More people, less waste. This is the most encouraging outcome of three editions of Corbu Cleanup Day.

On October 3, more than 250 volunteers joined the 2026 edition, clearing approximately 3 kilometres of beach and surrounding vegetation. People from Corbu and other cities travelled here especially for the event, determined to help protect a place that means so much to us.

For Rezident, helping organise Corbu Cleanup Day is also about taking responsibility for a place where we operate. It is a commitment we uphold year after year, alongside the Association of Young People for European Integration Constanța, our volunteers and our partners.

The results of all three editions show why this work is worth continuing:

• 2024 — 150 volunteers, 2 kilometres of beach cleaned, 5.2 tonnes of waste collected and four illegal dumping sites closed.
• 2025 — 150 volunteers, nearly 3 kilometres of beach cleaned, 3.4 tonnes of waste and more than 10 kilograms of cigarette filters collected.
• 2026 — more than 250 volunteers, approximately 3 kilometres of beach and surrounding vegetation cleaned, and nearly 1.7 tonnes of waste collected — roughly half the amount recorded last year. Separately, together with the ENVIRON Association, we collected 500 kilograms of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

We also dedicated part of the day to education, with workshops on marine litter, invasive species and Corbu’s natural environment, alongside creative activities for children. Because caring for a place also starts with understanding it.

Thank you to every volunteer and to the team behind this edition. Our thanks also go to the partners who supported every aspect of the event, from cleanup equipment and waste collection to meals for volunteers and educational activities.

Pe 3 octombrie, sâmbătă, ne întoarcem la Corbu pentru al treilea an consecutiv. Credem că unul dintre cele mai frumoase lucruri pe care le vedem de la o ediție la alta este felul în care ziua asta a crescut.

În 2024 am fost 150 de oameni și am curățat aproape 2 kilometri de plajă, adunând peste 5 tone de deșeuri. În 2025, comunitatea Corbu Clean-up Day a crescut la peste 300 de participanți, iar împreună am dus rezultatul celor două acțiuni la peste 8 tone de deșeuri strânse.

Două ediții, sute de oameni, kilometri de plajă și tone de deșeuri care nu mai ajung înapoi în natură. Dar, poate cel mai important, o comunitate care revine, se implică și crește de la un an la altul.

Pentru noi, Corbu Clean-up Day a devenit mai mult decât o zi în care strângem gunoiul de pe plajă. Este felul în care alegem să avem grijă de un colț de natură care ne este drag și, în același timp, un prilej de a aduce împreună oameni care cred în același lucru.

Anul acesta ne întâlnim la 9:30, pe plaja Corbu, chiar în fața Rezident. Venim pregătiți cu un kit de curățenie complet, gândit ca treaba să fie cât mai simplă și să putem avea cât mai mult spor.
Obiectivul rămâne simplu: să lăsăm plaja mai curată decât am găsit-o. Iar dacă edițiile de până acum ne-au arătat ceva este că atunci când oamenii se adună în jurul unui loc care contează pentru ei, rezultatele se văd.

Pe parcursul zilei, facem o pauză la Luna de Corbu pentru prânz, apoi revenim pe plajă pentru o nouă tură de curățenie. La final, ne strângem din nou pe terasa de la Luna de Corbu, pentru cină, muzică și un final pe măsura unei zile în care am făcut treabă bună împreună.
