THE CEREMONY — Before our wedding we had so many people praying for good weather, peace and pure blissful joy. I can now say our day was all of those things. It felt like everything in our lives had come together for this one perfect moment. The most important aspect to us was having a Christ centered ceremony… for our guests to get a glimpse of our love for the Lord and each other through the words shared. Let me just tell you that we have never felt his presence so strong as it was this day. I had dreamt about walking down the aisle to this song ‘Goodness of God’ for as long as I can remember. As we recessed down the aisle, we both looked at each other and there was this moment where it felt like we had been surrounded by a shield of protection by the Holy Spirit. In that moment we both understood the power of marriage and why it’s so sacred. I verbally said “This is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.” I can’t wait to take on this world with my Husband by my side. To serve the Lord together, to walk together as one, and to help each other achieve our purpose here on earth… then stand by our Father in Heaven one day and hear “Job well done my good and faithful servants.” The absolute best day of our lives. #OTMWedding 💍 “To kick off the weekend on Friday, I wore a @shophelsi floral appliqué dress for a girly bridal brunch paired with a Rafe Aya Clutch from Over The Moon that gave a feminine mountain feel," @carlylethornton says of the first look of her North Carolina mountain ⛰️ wedding wardrobe. 👛 She ended the night in a feathered mini topped with Hart’s #OTMExclusive: Aurora tennis necklace. 💎 As for her ceremony dress, the bride wore @Berta. “It arrived straight off the runway from the new couture collection, and as soon as I put it on, I knew I would never try on another dress.” ✨ To complement her, little ones graced the aisle in Strasburg before Carlyle and @rfrawls said, “I do." “The ceremony felt like a truly unbelievable culmination of a million pieces coming together. I couldn’t stop smiling. It’s like nobody else existed in that moment, it was just me and him.”

My first baby, the absolute joy of my life, the one who made me a mommy, is ONE. 🎂

A year ago today, our lives changed forever. This little boy has brought out a version of me that has never felt more whole and given my life a purpose deeper than I ever knew possible.

I thank God every single day for this smiley, silly, sweet, wild little boy and the immeasurable JOY he has brought to our family. Being his mommy is the greatest gift and biggest blessing of my life!

Best day ever, best year ever. And I thought I loved you then🤍 I didn’t stop smiling this entire day and I’m still cheesing just as big! Our first year of marriage gave us the highest of highs, including our beautiful son, and some of our lowest moments that brought us to our knees. It brought us closer than I could ever imagine and I wouldn’t want to be on this life journey with anyone else! You’re my teammate, my safe place and my very best friend. I always find myself just staring at you in awe, the same exact way I did on this day, wondering how I quite literally won life’s lottery with you.
