Associated Students of Rio Hondo College is proud to recognize our Chief Justice, Sintia Leal, as she transfers to California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt to pursue a degree in Economics with an emphasis in Environmental Economics. We are grateful for her leadership, dedication, and service to the Rio Hondo College community and wish her continued success in this exciting next chapter.

Student Spotlight: Sintia Leal

1. Name and Position: Sintia Leal, Chief Justice

2. Time Served with ASRHC: Sintia has proudly served ASRHC for one and a half years.

3. Favorite ASRHC Memory: Her favorite ASRHC memory was participating in this year’s Earth Day event.

4. Transfer Institution: She will be transferring to California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt. @humboldtpolytechnic

5. Major and Career Goals: Sintia will major in Environmental Economics and hopes to work with others to promote a more sustainable future.

6. Advice for Students and Current ASRHC Members: Stay organized by using tools such as Google Calendar, and be sure to take advantage of campus resources, including meal vouchers and free food opportunities.

7. Additional Comments: As she completes her internship with UNITE-LA’s Cleantech Academy, Sintia encourages students to apply for internships and new opportunities, ask questions, and build connections through networking. She credits both her leadership experiences and the relationships she developed along the way for helping her secure this valuable internship experience. @letsunitela

Just being silly, but we want to continue in the spirit of celebration 🎉💙
We are proud to share that we have 22 College Corps Fellows graduating and/or transferring this year! Finals week is around the corner and you are almost there. All the long hours, service, studying, and dedication are paying off.

College Corps Fellows have been busy out in the community supporting food insecurity efforts in nearby cities. 💙 Yesterday was another opportunity to give back, show up for our communities, and continue doing meaningful service work while helping serve over 2,000 community members and families.

Also, thank you for all the cariño LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis. We truly appreciate the support and the opportunity to continue serving and giving back to the community together. ✨
