You don’t count the pain when it’s for the ones who count on you.

To my past, present, and future.
2025 was shifting ground – and I learned to find comfort in it. I stepped back from what consumed my days, and found myself again through creation. I tried to learn what real rest was and how it is not a pause, but a step forward. Here’s to never letting go of the spark. As the year closes out, I am more hopeful than ever.

Doesn’t matter what camera you use? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Got lost in the editing sauce.. I might’ve accidentally made an ad.

I wasn’t sure how the shots were going to turn out with a manual focus lens and 2 moving boats but with some editing and higher frames it’s hard to even tell.

Art in motion.

Was setting up the shot, and the next time I looked over my phone had fallen. Great I missed that shot, guess I got nothing today. Jk my goated phone decides to land perfectly upright in the same orientation and with some pretty nice framing, if I were to critique. Threw in some product placement as well. We roll with it 😄

Way more hours went into this than the algorithm will ever notice, but I do it anyways (for the craft 👨🏻‍🎨✨)

A few shots backstage with @viccore_official who came from Japan showcasing his streetwear lineup, and a montage of all the looks and talent on the runway.

Fun fact: exactly a year ago I shot my first #VFW with my new iPhone I just got and created a version of this effect. Not always a use for it but these captures fit it perfectly. How far we’ve come ☺️

Appreciate you @viccore_official for the opportunity 👏🏻

Alpine larches turn golden only 1-2 weeks of the year, at elevations typically above 1500m. Was it worth seeing?

Stats for your consumption:
📍 Frosty Mountains, Manning Provincial Park
📈 1160m Elevation gain / 22km round trip
🥾 5:40pm base start
🏕️ 8:40pm arrived at Campsite (3hr with some breaks)
🎒 ~30lbs Backpack (one of my more lighter packs..)
💤 11:00pm sleep (didn’t get much sleep 🥶)
🌝 5:00/5:20am Rise/Start (not so bad when you didn’t even sleep 😬)
⭐️ 6:10am Arrive at field of alpine larches, but was too dark to see anything 😎
🌄 6:56am Panoramic viewpoint / watch sunrise (unreal)
☀️ 7:00-9:00am recommended for prime light 👌🏻
🥾~2.5hrs down

Worth it?
Loved every painful moment, but not recommended on weekends - overcrowded and trail is very narrow (room for one). Got lucky, went up Sunday evening with barely anyone. Monday morning the larches was completely empty. Note: Next time start earlier to watch sunset at the larches AND watch sunrise. Being able to even do this is already worth it 🙂 by @rhederek

A walk around the block, as we transition into fall.
I might actually be more of a winter person but this ain’t so bad.

More time together

When the coffees and lighting so good you question if it’s AI.

Reflection or misdirection?

The end of the season 🥲

Okaaay…. Weirdest thing this month!! Is it normal to see a freaking house move? by @rhederek

Sometimes it’s less about the walk and more about the people.

Taking the time to remember things by @rhederek

Some beautiful classics (and moderns) came out to the @weissach.group meet, along with some break in the clouds, making for some 🤌🏻 snaps that inspired me to create.

Beautiful machines, captured beautifully, with a sprinkle of typography beautifully set. Life is beautiful 🥲

Like the previous post, these were all shot at a shutter speed of 1/15.

#weissach #carculture #carphotography #vancouver #design by @rhederek

I typically vary my shutter speed based on light and composition. Went into this one challenging myself to shoot the entire event with a single shutter speed. The hard part was finding the balance of stills being sharp, and the whips being smooth. This might by my new fav shutter speed.

All shots are taken in-camera (with some post editing to the colours).

If you know the owners of these beautiful cars please tag em 😮‍💨
