Three years, God…

Three years, and Gaza is still standing in the same place, as if time passed over the whole world and simply forgot to pass here.

1,096 days of fear, hunger, displacement, and loss…
1,096 days of trying to live an ordinary day in a place where nothing is ordinary anymore.

Three years without a home that feels like home,
without a road that feels safe,
without nights that mean sleep,
without mornings that promise a new beginning.

Three years of searching for water, food, medicine, and a safe place to lay our heads.

Our children are growing up in tents instead of homes.
They study sitting on the ground, while learning the sounds of drones and fear before they can fully learn their dreams.

Three years, and the world is still watching…
Three years of suffering that has become another passing headline for much of the world, while for us, it is our entire life.

And even with talk of a ceasefire, we are still living with the consequences of everything that has happened.
We are trying to rebuild our lives from the ruins, protect our families, and hold on to whatever hope remains.

Three years of genocide…
Three years of simply trying to stay alive.

Today, I am asking you not to look away from my family.

Every day, my family and I are struggling to get through another day without a safe home. We face the heat, hunger, insects, and the constant fear of losing what little we have.
We are not asking for luxury. We are asking for basic necessities: a safe shelter, clean water, food, and a little peace and dignity.

Abdullah’s family is about to be blessed with a new child. His parents have multiple, ongoing and urgent medical needs. Abdullah is also taking care of his martyred brother’s children.

Abdullah lives in the north and has extremely limited internet access. He has no social media presence.

Food prices here are rising again… and it’s becoming unbearable.
Vegetables, fruits, and even the most basic necessities are no longer within reach. Supplies are scarce, and with fewer trucks entering the markets, prices continue to skyrocket every single day.
This is not just a difficult situation for us — it’s a daily struggle to survive.
Simple things like tomatoes, which now cost 20 shekels per kilo, have become a luxury. We find ourselves constantly worrying about how to afford the next meal.
We are doing everything we can, but it’s no longer enough.
