Nearly 12 months later, I look at how far the Tipperary Neutrality Network has come — going from strength to strength — and I feel nothing but hope. It has been a privilege to stand alongside so many people across Tipperary who believe in peace and justice, protecting Ireland’s neutrality and the Triple Lock. Many are not in this photo, but their voices, commitment, and values are very much part of this journey. I’m especially grateful for people like Imelda and for everyone I have met in person or come to know through the many peace and neutrality groups. People who generously share their knowledge, challenge and dispel myths, and encourage us all to keep questioning and learning. For me, it has been a year of learning, unlearning, and relearning — and I simply want to say thank you. Knowing so many people stand for peace and for a neutral Ireland gives me great hope — not only for today, but for the generations who will come after us. 🇮🇪🕊️ Our neutrality matters. Our Triple Lock matters. Peace matters. How many Palestinian children have to be buried before the GAA says enough? Allianz is one of the biggest financiers of Israel, pouring billions into an occupation, apartheid and genocide. Yet the GAA continues to take their money and plaster their logo across our games and communities. Every sponsorship deal gives Allianz legitimacy. Every Allianz logo on a pitch helps whitewash the crimes being committed against the Palestinian people. The GAA was built on community, solidarity and resistance. Those values mean nothing if they're abandoned when money is on the table. And it doesn't stop with the GAA. Allianz profits from insurance policies held by schools, parishes and institutions across Ireland. While communities raise money for Palestine, many are unknowingly helping fund a corporation with deep financial ties to Israel. End the Allianz partnership. Stop sportswashing genocide. Stand with Palestine. History won't remember who stayed comfortable. It will remember who stayed silent. taken in Devil's Bit by @rhonacarroll_

Two classrooms. Two realities. And I can’t stop thinking about it. Every day, I walk into a school I love. As an SNA, I get to witness something incredible — children learning, laughing, growing, finding their confidence, their voice, their place in the world. It is a privilege I never take for granted. I see kids flourish. I see safety. And then I look at Palestine. I see children trying to learn in tents. I see teachers trying to hold onto some sense of normality in the middle of a genocide. I see stories that no child should ever be part of — like a 9-year-old girl shot in the head while sitting in her classroom tent, in front of her classmates. How do we accept this contrast? How do we live with these two realities existing side by side ? And - Do nothing Say nothing Turn a blind eye Continue with business as normal I can not stand in a classroom here, watching children thrive, and stay silent about children elsewhere being denied even the most basic safety. It’s not right. It’s not normal. And it can not continue. Shame on the Catholic Church Shame on the G.A.A They must divest NOW Because every child deserves what I see every day in my job — safety, dignity, and the chance to learn without fear. Two classrooms. Two realities. We choose justice. #dropallianz #endthegenocide #enacttheoccupiedterritoriesbill #usmilitaryoutofshannon #defendirishneutrality taken in Limerick, Ireland by @rhonacarroll_

There aren’t words to describe the palpable sense of disappointment all across Ireland today… We’re hoping that the team gain perspective overnight and do the right thing. To quote @eslam._.rafat “A child walks barefoot through the ruins…. He asks for nothing, just a safe path and a step without fear 💔. In Gaza, childhood walks on rubble… and we still have a chance to make a difference 🤍”. We couldn’t think of more apt words tonight… There is still time to do what’s right… 🙏🤲 #dontplay #showisraeltheredcard #stopthegame #freepalestine #palestinianlivesmatter by @rhonacarroll_
