Friday, October 2nd make time for some R&R @rootdown.hk

This time we feature a delicious dish seasoned with curry and herbs - braised and tenderised for hours...

Welcoming Syf @freerajh to the kitchen to share his delicious curry goat ☀️
coupled with a few favourite side options and special drinks of your choosing, all by way of Christianne, Janaia, Daniela, Jeston, Potsy, Robin & Rod.

Rhythm & Roti 2 at @rootdown.hk . The oxtail was as good as advertised. Buss up shut, macaroni pie, pelau — the full spread.

DJs held it down all night. Sai Ying Pun showed up.the whole lineup ( @mzjohn82 @janaiaisjoy @obeahmix @djfeaturz @djnoelhaynes 🫡) keeping the energy locked from open ‘til close.

Sai Ying Pun really turned up. Caribbean food + HK soul — that’s the recipe.

Our first rhythm and roti pop up @rootdown.hk

It was a holiday extra long weekend and we foolishly anticipated a quiet night.

Lessons and feedback:
Prepare for more 😆
Fine tune logistics
Bigger portions 👍🏼
Improve the roti wrap
Rotate the menu 👌🏼

But the ultimate feedback was "we want more of this"

And more there will be!

A daunting first step ✅
A huge thanks to you all for the love and support.
A massive shout out to @janaiaisjoy for her delicious curry and to the staff at Root Down for their experience and support ❤️... And of course to the DJs @djfeaturz and @djminou4real pairing the rhythm to the roti.
