The glow up 😤

Did you know that a lot of the RXP throughout the years started coming to auditions when they were in high school? Just because you don’t make it one year, doesn’t mean you won’t make it the next.

If you’re on the fence about auditioning, please join us! If you’re here for the clinic, or gunning it for a spot, we want to help you along your journey. And if it doesn’t work out this year, we hope you’ll come back next year to try again at earning an X Number 💪

The Rhythm X Battery Sound 🎼

SNARES
● Drums: FFXCC Championship CarbonCore
● Heads: Evans Hybrid Snare Drumhead (top) + MX5 (bottom)
● Sticks: Promark DCPM1
● Tune the bottom head to a D
● Keep the tops lower than a D, typically around a C-C#
● The gut tension should be around a C
● Make sure the guts are flush with the bottom head (no downward bend past the shell)
● Apply lithium grease inside the lug casings
● “We hadn’t taped the bottom heads in years. This year, parts of the book were so dense that we wanted to shorten the sound.” — Josh Brickey, Battery Caption Head

It’s been one week since we stepped foot in UD Arena for what became a record breaking season! We are still glowing from the pure joy of what #X26 became.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our family, friends, and alum who made this season one we will never forget.

To the cymbal community, your hype for the book and our performances is something we will cherish for years to come.
