When I first went to the hospital with my dad in November, I was overwhelmed and terrified.

He spent the last five months of his life there, and somehow, the hospital started feeling more like home than home itself… simply because he was there❤️

Now it’s been 37 days without him.
It still feels unreal, but I know he’s resting in peace❤️‍🩹

I grieve my father every single day…
but when I look at my mother, my own pain starts feeling smaller.

Today was supposed to be their 30th wedding anniversary.
Thirty years of love, routine, sacrifices, conversations, fights, comfort.... an entire life built together.

And now I keep wondering…
how does a woman continue living after losing the person she spent almost her whole life with?
How does she sleep, wake up, eat, smile… without him beside her?

That thought haunts me more than my own grief sometimes.
Maybe that’s why, somewhere between losing my father and watching my mother lose her life partner…
my pain as a daughter quietly became pain for my mother. ❤️‍🩹
