Thank you Howard & DC! Next stop, Houston 🤍

4 years ago, my freshman year of college, I had only $30 in my account. I started doing hair, staying up restless hours, missing normal college activities. I used to scooter in the rain to the hair store Lol. In reality, I was just a girl trying to fund the life around her. I never imagined life would lead me here. What started as simply doing hair became art, purpose, and the very thing that changed my life.

The DC area and Howard community shaped me into the woman I am today. From servicing Howard students across campus to building my business and my baby, @celestialhairandco, this journey became so much bigger than hair.

From FOX 5 DC, to styling celebrities, speaking on panels, being featured on magazine covers and in stories. To influencing the youth, and giving back to my community, every opportunity reminded me that passion can create real impact.

Thank you to every client and supporter who believed in me from the very beginning. DC watched me grow from the ground up, and I’ll forever be grateful. Now, I’m taking a leap of faith.

Houston!!! Wassup?

This degree is far more meaningful than what the eyes can see

Four years ago, I was blessed to attend this university. I stepped onto this campus unsure of the path that I was supposed to follow, carrying dreams but still trying to figure out who I really was.

A story beautifully rewritten. I found a version of myself that’s stronger, wiser, confident, and more intentional than ever. But..

This is bigger than just me. This accomplishment is for my mother, who took a chance on me and never looked back. This is for the generations that follow and will see what’s possible. A reminder to have faith and never limit where dreams can take you, regardless of where you come from.

Thank you Howard,
