Growth and scaling took center stage at our latest BFS Leadership Exchange Series luncheon in New York City.

On September 30, we brought together founders and executives from the beauty, wellness, fitness, and self-care industries for an intimate conversation on growing and scaling businesses in today’s market.

The discussion began with a key distinction: Growth means increasing revenue within your existing locations. Scaling means expanding the number of locations you own.

Liz Allison, @lizallison_tricoci, CEO of Tricoci Salon & Spa, shared how she evaluates when a business is ready to expand its services, drawing on Tricoci’s evolution from salon services into massage, facials, and, most recently, medspa.

Jeremy Hirsch, of Houlihan Lokey shared his outlook on the longevity and medspa markets, sparking a broader conversation about recurring revenue, membership models, and the difference between building loyalty and relying on discounts.
