In 2021 I released Order in Chaos on Axis, @jeff_mills_official ’ label. The idea was already there: how to bring chaos —the real thing, mathematical, unpredictable— to a meaningful place within electronic music. That search became Pura Belia (@purabelia_official ), and the first to come out of it is Fragua: a synthesizer that uses chaotic attractors as an audio engine and as a modulator. It doesn’t simulate chaos, it generates it. And this is only the beginning of a series of instruments that will keep exploring the same idea from different angles. I’ve been lucky to receive feedback from artists like @richarddevine , @roll_dann , @irazumusic , @carmelo_ponente, @g4g0_2024 and @rvdmntl while developing it. With decades of experience behind the board and the decks, and a prolific catalog of releases across some of the world’s most respected labels, I’m honored to bring you RIBÉ. This Madrid-based techno producer and DJ was raised in the mountains, far from the noise and influence of the city. In this nature-based isolation, armed with militant discipline and razor-sharp focus, Ribé developed a brand of controlled sonic chaos that has become his signature. His uncompromising, floor-burning productions have appeared on prestigious labels such as Oscar Mulero’s Polegroup, Ben Klock’s Klockworks, Jeff Mills’ Axis, and Bas Mooy’s MORD, to name a few. As a regular participant in the acclaimed Polegroup Showcase events, he has brought his singular approach to renowned clubs and festivals across Europe, including Lanna, Tresor, RSO, Khidi, and Razzmatazz, among many others. I was fortunate to contribute the artwork for his “Son Etapas” EP on MORD, which has been a major highlight in my own journey as an artist.
