Last week I had the honor to perform my composition “Do You” of my mini-album “Contemplation” at @walesbonner Spring Summer 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week

Feeling very grateful and would like to thank @walesbonner and team for this experience 🙌🏾

Also much thanks to @camacharpennederland for letting me use their space for rehearsals 😌

Retracing Steps

Diving deeper into our ancestral lineages, we wrote this piece to share our research about Mandinka culture, it’s music and West African history with the Kora as main subject

Many thanks to @arturo_dh for inviting us to perform at @muziekgebouw during Keti Koti 🙌🏾✨

Being a harpist who’s mostly self-taught, with no classical background, I often find myself dealing with the feeling of never being good enough. My piece “Dialogues” is about having that conversation with others and myself, learning to let those doubts go and to enjoy the process of expressing myself through music.

So being featured alongside these incredible harpists on the Eleven Harps compilation is truly special to me.

Many thanks to @__latency for inviting me to be part of this beautiful compilation. 🫶🏾

I’m extremely blessed to have the wonderful Ranie Ribeiro @ribeirosfate as my special guest on WE ARE… this Saturday 4pm-6pm @nts_radio

We had a great in depth chat about how Ranie discovered the harp, his musical journey, the process and motivation for creating the Lp Contemplation, his soundtrack scores and performing at the @walesbonner fashion week show in Paris last year.

Ranie will also be sharing new music, and talking about his exciting new project @sonsofjumira

If that wasn’t enough, we’ll also be sharing a live performance from @ribeirosfate in the second hour of the show.

Definitely not to be missed

@sonsofjumira 7” out now!

This April 15, 16, and 17, the three-piece band Sons of Jumira - consisting of @ribeirosfate on harp, @millvoyance on drums/percussion, and @juliantjonsackkie on double bass - presented their debut work through a residency at Athénée Théâtre Louis Jouvet in Paris.

The Dutch trio took inspiration from the West African Mandinka concept of Jaliya, the practice and art form of the Jali (griot), as well as the Mandinka tuning Tomora. These elements converge in a sound rooted in storytelling and musical expression. Jaliyahs’ Lament / Tomora marks their debut 7” release.

Thanks to our supporter’s contributions, Sons of Jumira has been able to press their self-titled debut 7-inch. Become a supporter now and receive a copy!
