It’s been an amazing experience and a Challenge indeed. Loved it.

Day 30 #stradaeasel
And here we go, painting sketch No 30. It’s been very challenging but I made it all the way to the end of this challenge, painting something and posting it, every single day of September. Learned a lot and had lots of fun and will definitely be joining the next one again.
Thank you team @strada.easel for organising and all the work you put into this.

This rusty little Wren was gifted to me, sits among the pot plants and it makes me smile, so I painted it today:)

Day 29 #stradaeasel
The Bottlebrush is in full bloom, we planted a few in our garden. The bees love it and lots of native birds come for a visit. Last slide shows how well they are camouflaged, even the red patches on its head are the same red as of the bottlebrush. Nature is amazing❤️ Who can spot the bird?

Day 28 #stradaeasel
A few sketches from the Apiary Helpers today, they keep everything clean around the beehives. We’ve got 5, so here is a quick sketch from one each. I needed a lot of seeds to bribe them to stay with me for a quick sketch.

Day 27 #stradaeasel
Found this pumpkin sitting in the shed and waiting to be turned into a soup. Thought I draw/sketch it before it goes in the pot.

Day 25 #stradaeasel
Sketching in the Bee yard again today. It’s Spring and the bees are multiplying. These are Nukes, 5frame bee colonies with a new mated queen, ready to grow into a big working hive.
I love the set up of the different coloured and shaped nuke boxes, just had to paint this.

Day 24 #stradaeasel
Been to the Paper Daisy Spring Festival in Mount Annan Botanical Gardens today. What an experience to see so many happy dancing flowers, so much joy🌸💕 I love the contrast between the colourful flowers and greens compared to the more muted greens of the Australian landscape.

Day 23 #stradaeasel
A red cabbage was gifted to us, it’s from the farm where we’ve got the bees. Got distracted through work so many times, that I was not in the zone sketching this today. Would give it another go another day, but we will eat it tonight, so that’s it.

Day 22 #stradaeasel
Set up in a close local reserve today, to paint one of my favourite Gumtrees. It’s majestic and gets hugged when I walk past. I love how the light changes the colour of the tree, it’s never the same:)

Day 20 #stradaeasel
This little pot was gifted to us by our dear friends at their engagement celebration. It always reminds us of these beautiful moments in life.
Painted indoors today, 32C in the shade, paint will dry on the brush in these temperatures.
