Being mentioned on @imopodcasts with @michelleobama during the ICONIC conversation with @phyliciarashad and @therealdebbieallen was such a special moment for @ricehumanities and @mcllcrice.

Hearing them honor the brilliant legacy, creative spirit, and history of their mother and @riceuniversity LEGEND—Dr. Vivian Ayers Allen—in the same breath as our school was an ineffable experience that we fear we will never recover from.

If you haven’t already, you should go watch the full episode (& take a class in the humanities and arts)!

What if the impossible happened to you and you finally found someone without judgement willing to listen? Tomorrow we open the archives. I am very proud to share with @octoberfilms_ ARCHIVE X: UNEXPLAINED PHENOMENA, a documentary series I developed with @octoberfilms_ and co-directed exploring extraordinary accounts through the EXPERIENCERS who lived them and @riceuniversity @ricehumanities Center of the Impossible. The DNA of the series are people who have come out from the shadows to tell their truth which will hopefully spur questions that deserve a deeper conversation around consciousness and what it means to be HUMAN. Maybe the veil is thinner than we ever imagined? Premiere’s tomorrow Oct 1 on AMC+ and Sundance TV. SEND THIS TO A FRIEND WHO NEEDS TO KNOW REALITY IS STRANGER THAN WE COULD EVER IMAGINE. #archivex #amc #amcplus #archivesoftheimpossible #unexplainedphenomena Have you ever experienced something truly uncanny and supernatural that you couldn’t explain? by @ricehumanities

At Rice, interdisciplinary learning isn't just a phrase—it's how we approach the world's biggest questions. In this School of Humanities and Arts course, Professor Rodrigo Ferreira (Engineering & Computing) and Professor Robert Howell (Philosophy) team up to examine the real-world costs of AI, from digital privacy to human impact. #RiceAdmission #RiceUniversity #RiceHumanities #RiceEngineering by @ricehumanities

One of Houston’s best cultural destinations is right next door to Rice.

Graduate ambassador and @ricehumanities art history Ph.D. student Osinachi Okafor takes us through the Houston Museum District, where art, science, history and cultures from around the world come together.

When you study at Rice, the city becomes part of the graduate experience.
