CUTIE MEW MEW MAGIC (Vs. PINK) from DELTARUNE: Chapter 5 (COVER)

This is one of those cool instances where literally every party involved went overboard in the best way possible. I guess it’s only appropriate considering this is Camellia working with Toby we’re talking about.

I knew I wanted to try something unusual with this cover, so when I was informed by a mutual friend that @octolinghacker was also interested in covering it... I felt compelled to reach out.
Nothing about the process of putting this together was simple or routine, but I’m really happy with the end result! I hope you enjoy it too! Everyone tried their best and worked really hard on this one!

Did something different for this one…

FLOWER CASTLE - DELTARUNE (Guitar Cover)

I have new guitar I must use it.

I mostly wanted to take the opportunity with this cover to experiment more with tones and mix techniques for recording this acoustic guitar, since I’ve never really properly done so. I did my best to find the right balance of something that sounded good but also somewhat mimicked the sonic characteristics of a shamisen, koto, sitar, banjo... you get the idea.

As such, this cover isn’t metal. It uses metal-ish drums because I’m stubborn and dumb, but it’s not really metal.. but also not really rock. It’s not folk either. I don’t know what genre this would be. We’ll just call it silly for now.

Petal Dance - DELTARUNE: Chapter 5 (Metal Cover)

For this particular project, I wanted to try a few new things just for fun. I recently got an acoustic guitar that I’ve been messing around with a lot lately - I wasn’t originally planning on using it here, but it seemed like a kinda fun idea to try to mix it in a metal environment. I think it sounds cool...

So.. Flowery. Interesting guy, huh? The first fella to talk. Like with actual voice clips. I knew at the very moment he spoke the first time that I would cover his fight theme, because I knew there was no way we wouldn’t be trying to destroy them at some point.

So the question at this point is will I cover more from Deltarune Chapter 5? It’s not really a question - its just a statement of fact: I will surely be covering more from this chapter. Sorry to keep you waiting, if only but a bit longer...
