Streets •_____________________With each passing day we grow more compassionate, more humble, more subtle. We acknowledge how little about life we truly know. We lose our sense of superiority and the sharp edges of our personality soften. We finally begin to realize that we don’t have everything worked out. If we believe that we’ve got it all figured out then we’ve actually devolved. I believe in those that know some, but acknowledge their limitations. I believe in those that realize how far they have yet to travel on the road of knowledge and understanding. We all have so much more to learn. Sunset in Amsterdam •_____________________When life is lived through the heart, everything becomes real. When it’s truly opened, everything secondary falls away.. demands of the ego, fame and fortune, physical beauty, substitute gratifications. The heart doesn’t care about such things. The heart gives no credence to achievements or the lack of them. The true heart doesn’t consider material possessions, accumulations, or how much makeup has been applied. No matter how different we are, at the deepest level, we are all the same. Those deep feelings of the heart levels the playing field. Deep feelings connect us at a primal level. In the end, it’s love that’s essential for our very survival.
