There is a lot of luck in life ! This image of the then Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall very nearly didn’t happen . On the Royal Tour to the Galapagos we were all going out to Seymour Island ,but the plan changed unbeknown to me, and I was left behind on the jetty. However a 27 year old Equadorian took control and insisted that I must go too and called the coastguards . They were already at Seymour Island but came back in their immense speed boat , picked me up, and delivered me to the Island just as the Prince was getting out of his rather slower chugger ! I wonder whether the rather good looking Ecuadorian ever knew that she was responsible for the picture ? There is an exhibition of pictures done on Royal Tours during the last forty years included in the summer opening of Buckingham Palace this year . Well worth a visit . by @richardffoster

W/c 26 x 18 cms. The ADEPT Exhibition is now open every day till 4th February 2.0pm till 4.0pm at the Romanian Cultural Institute , 1 Belgrave Square , SW1X 8PH. Lots of pictures of Transylvania done this summer by eleven artists . Well worth a visit ! by @richardffoster

This is the left half of a big picture done 25 years ago. Just done another one of six people much the same size but completely different. Interesting how they turn out. I always thought that the husband and wife could have been a picture on there own, and the four boys on a separate one.
