Yes, !Ambassador Pass*key from Planet Musika has returned to Earth for a March residency at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art in downtown LA. Normally, he visits Earth only once a year on New Year's Day but this year is an exception, one he feels compelled to make. He knows that Planet Earth is going through a very tough time right now, with multiple crises occurring at multiple locations on the Planet, and for this he is both saddened and concerned. It is his fervent wish that Peace and Equilibrium thru Resolution (and Acceptance) of Dissonance will return to all places of current strife on Earth, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. With tears in his eyes, he offers to All an expression of hope through music and image.

!Ambassador Pass*key's musicvideo "MusikaToEarth_20230101" will be on view as part of the "Omnidirectional" show at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art (LACDA) from March 6 thru March 29, 2025. The DTLA Art Night Preview is Thursday, March 6, from 6-9pm and the Opening Reception is Saturday, March 8 from 7-9pm. LACDA is located at 410 S. Spring Street in the Historic Core/Gallery Row area of downtown Los Angeles. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday 12 noon - 5pm.

December 11, 1983 was a bitterly cold Minneapolis night, blustery and bone-chilling, but inside were three musicians intent on heating it up with their sonic fire on the corner of Cedar and Riverside. Two miles away Prince might have been playing to a packed house on First Avenue but PG&H – richard Paske (bass), dean Granros (guitar), phil Hey (drums) – made their musical offering to many fewer ears but that was OK with them. The music was, and is, all that matters.

Some notes and some suggestions for listening…
.
Sit back in the dark with headphones on or comfortably situated between two stereo speakers, close your eyes, and imagine yourself in a nearly empty, darkened second floor space with three musicians on a low platform a dozen or so feet from where you sit. From that vantage point you are there with them as they embark on an hour-long odyssey of musical exploration.
.
As you cue up track 1 prepare for an auditory onslaught as Buses Don’t Stop Here…
.
Following that, Looking at Laurel Avenue’s caress provides welcome respite...
.
With Negation, Dean Granros takes you into an underground jazz bistro, perhaps in the Latin Quarter where Django once held forth, but this time into a maelstrom where order and chaos collide…
.
No Leaves reminds you that you’re in Minneapolis in the Winter, and then Something About Tropics takes you away from all that...
.
Small Things are just that, on a molecular level…
.
And then back to Paris where Steve Lacy is, Paske’s friend and mentor in the early 70s…
.
With Wingless Transportation, Paske and Hey join Granros as he lifts us up into transcendent skies…
